Whisker Seeker (Catfish Edge) FMJ Unboxing 

Hey good luck with it! I really like the fact that it's a medium heavy rod and the tip is pretty light so you definitely can enjoy bass fishing with it. I would say you won't get as much tip action as you would with a lighter rod but you can fish for a variety of fish with the Whisker Seeker rod as well and still have a good time!

Catfish Edge : Hey Chad, I’m looking at getting the 7 ‘6” FMJ. I’m trying to decide on the 1 piece or 2 piece (in case I want to put it INSIDE my truck) to be used from a boat and shore fishing. I’m leaning towards the 2 piece to put under the seat but would like your thoughts.

We've noticed the same thing... Alot of sold out or "out of stock" gear. I know alot of people realize spring is right around the corner and started ordering them. I hope Whisker Seeker has some more coming in so you can get one!!! They really do make a quality rod!!!

@@CatfishKC The problem is the ports are backed up. Container Ships have been forced to literally sit in harbors for a up to a month waiting in line.

That's crazy. I heard about that probably being the problem. Hopefully they can get it figured out so we can get some gear and get to fishing!!!

Make sure to sign up for the notifications, I had bookmarked the site and was checking in maybe twice a week at best for the last month or two and then finally signed up to get emailed when the rod I wanted was back in stock, and now my 9.6" 2pc rod should be here tomorrow :D not sure if they're just selling out quick or not getting many in at a time but clearly I was just missing the good days to get an order in!

@@boikman Thanks for the info. I guess that's the way to go if you want to get some whisker seeker gear. Last year it was hard to get anything bc alot of people trapped inside got into fishing....and shipments were delayed from manufacturer's. This is a good way to get your name put on a list for when they get inventory. Thanks!!!

I typically go with the bait cast because I feel like it's way more sturdy when reeling in bigger fish and can handle a lot more weight. I've used spinners too though and don't mind them. Just would prefer to pull in a big fish with a bait cast. But the obvious main difference is the setup. You can use whatever you prefer though really. You just might go through more spinners than you will baitcast if you're pulling in trophy sized fish.
