@jens jense I agree with you. Normally I love everything Bryan is a guest on, and I love every single episode of Whiskey Ginger; quickly became my favorite podcast..but this episode? "Meh"..not many "lol" moments
He hangs out with tough guys like them two to feel comfortable and that he can act how he likes and they got his back. He don’t realise he is so much better with actual comedians like santino and D’elia
Its nice to watch two comedians actually do comedy, instead of just endlessly talking about it to each other over and over again. This was a really fun hour! Nice work.
Couldn’t agree less. While I love this too, I love understanding how the comedy business works and I love understanding the behind the scenes aspect of the comedy world. The best podcasts tie comedy into the talk about the background of what goes into going into being a stand up.
The way you two destroy each other and EVERYONE you talk about, the quickness of the wit, the speed of the comeback false stories to one up each other is OUTSTANDING. thank you shit brightens my day
Yeah constantly interrupting him. Don’t know why Brian sticks with him. Brendan’s a nice guy but he’s from the Joe Rogan school of comedy by looks of things. He just doesn’t look comfortable being funny, whereas Callen is just a loose guy and can slip into comedic premise
This was a great episode. Really makes me wish we could see more of Callen away from Brendan. I feel like he's underrated at this point because it's so common to make fun of him, and he goes with it so well, but he's one of the best imo.
@@Tesla-w1d that's not why they quit. They never cared about it making money, that wasn't the point. Bryan was late so often for that podcast, if you listen to it chronologically, you can tell Chris got more and more annoyed with Bryan being hours late as the episodes go on, until he finally just stopped coming and then so did Bryan. Brendan Schaub said he had to have a sit down conversation with Bryan about his habitual tardiness and told him he can't be late anymore or he was going to quit The Fighter and The Kid. Facts.
This is by far one of my favorite pair-ups on a podcast ever. I wish Bryan would ditch Brendan and these two would get together. Comedy gold for a full hour. I was crying.
Y'all need to watch the 10 minute podcasts Delia, Callen and Sasso used to do. They're criminally underrated and the hardest I've ever laughed. At least look up episode 230. Callen is the funniest he's ever been in it
Callens description of how tough guys talk also sounds a lot like Beetlejuice off Stern. “Hey Beet.. you think you can take Tyson? “Idonknow nothing bout dat. Idonknow. Prolly. Idonknow. I keep him busy. I’m like 8 feet tall.”
That was one of the most aggressive podcasts I've ever listened to.......& it was brilliant. I'm dying up here was a great show and i for one am disappointed there will be no season 3.
That monologue/acting bit they did at 32:10... pretending to make someone fall in love with them, was so god damn funny. Callen is so great at jumping onto a joke as a wingman and building up a punchline with the guest. He recognizes what type of humour the guest has and it seems like he knows right away when they are starting to bring up a funny topic to rant about or doing an over-the-top sarcasm bit. I guess since he knows a lot of these other comedians so well, their chemistry is just so on point. I bet if Schaub starts recognizing this more on tfatk and learns when to stfu and just let Bryan do his thing, especially when they have guests on, their subs would increase and every other comment wouldn't be bitching about all the interruptions lolol. But anyways, sorry for the rant. Just my opinion! This was great podcast dudes! Keep it up Cheeto !
Fucking hilarious. They are walking a fine line of just completely thrashing each other and just having fun. At times I was a bit worried about Bryan Callen's frail heart. Especially since he's almost 70 now.
You two should have a winner take all, decathlon battle where we(the fans) have a vote to see which events you guys compete in. Im sure fans would love it and if you guys streamed it live that would be extra tight! You could even have it simultaneously air/uploaded and take the number of veiws from each of your channels("strongest fanbase" event) as the final event....
