I feel bad for Whisper. She attempting to stab Surge with GLASS is just that can't give up attitude I love to see.

From what I've seen of Surge so far, she definitely seems more like a Vegeta from back in the Saiyan and Frieza sagas; loud, energetic and especially arrogant with a hint of ego.

My head cannon is that Surge spared Eggman due to a sub-conscious side effect of Starline’s coding/hypnosis and the dynamo-cage putting her thoughts into overdrive. I mean it was enough to make hallucinations of Starline in front of her and near the end of the arc she really goes bonkers.

Just gonna go right off and say it and say the reason Surge doesn't instantly fight eggman with her new power is because she just spent all of last issue, page after page panel after talking about getting back at sonic....she's petty, brash, childish, a bad planner and a egoist. I see it as characterization rather than plot armor for eggman but some people say there is not difference 😑

It was so cool seeing not only another character using the wisp powers, but also sonic using them again too because like, yeah why wouldn't they keep using them ? They're still crazy powerful and useful. It's moments like these that really make me appreciate the comics, and how they use things that were established in the games and then dropped later.

Given that Sonic’s used wisp powers before, imagine if Surge ended up gradually getting the different powers Sonic’s used throughout the series.

Wait, She’s called Overdrive Surge? I’ve been calling her ‘Power Surge’.

I’ve loved this arc so much - which fits well seeing as it’s the first arc I’m reading as it’s coming out.

No insult to Sonic and Tails, but Surge and Kit are becoming my favorite duo in the comics. Love those two!

I love that Eggman is completely calm about surge almost killing him and even treats it like everyday occurrence.

I wouldn’t mind having kit and surge as rival enemies and having them go from being kinda nuts to more reasonable and less crazy characters.

My headcanon for what the Starline Hallucination was is that it might be some kind of self-diagnostic tool Surge's cybernetic implants have, which she can now actually understand with the dynamo cage enhancing her powers, as for why it takes the form of Starline talking to her; that's simply a construction of her subconscious, who better to explain how things work to her than the man who created the tech in her own body? This explains how the Starline Hallucination knows things that she initially doesn't.
