WD (worthless dumbA) created a RU-vid channel he first made popular with his lack of mechanical skills by placing wheel spacers on every vehicle he could get his hands on. The fact his videos include automotives, does not qualify him to being an automotive channel. He is destructive, his channel is in the same group with channels such as the hydraulic press channel. There isn't one of his videos that is educational.. unless of course you're setting in a safety class and they're showing his clips on what not to do. Besides that point.. his personality is the top 5 toxic personalities on RU-vid. He's the Trump of RU-vid. A soon to be has been

I enjoyed how fast the FAA shut him down, there is a new meaning for Viscosity in the dictionary for how fast they stopped him. Boy got b!tch slapped hard enough to rearrange his thought process. I like watching him destroy expensive scrap metal. My favorite is the destruction of squatted trucks.

The other part about the FAA shutting him down for putting a kid at risk or telling him to not fly his helicopter leading to him keeping it in the shop and destroying it inside? Because that part is truth the FAA did stop him and he did obey their orders, he even stated they did. They even came to his house and told him if that helicopter was seen outside his shop in ONE piece they would put him in jail for years. Because you know a flying machine crashing into a house is a real danger to the public. He agreed and after all he is a responsible adult as WD even stated about the visit from the FAA.

I think a lot of us may have been like “I dunno about this WhistlinDiesel guy.” When we first started watching him. But over time it all makes a lot more sense. And WD’s motto of “never ever clickbait ever” is true and refreshing. If you click on a WD video, the outrageous s#*t you saw on the thumbnail is going to happen and it’s probably going to be even more insane than what the thumbnail suggests.

Been watching WhistlinDiesel ever since I found him in 2018 messing around with his trucks and think it's awesome to finally see him getting the recognition he deserves from everyone over the past year or two. Wild how prominent he's become, borderline celebrity status. Done and is still doing stuff nobody else would ever DARE to and never once worried about what other people had to say about it.

thanks :) Losing 2 very important people in my life, one of which being a father figure, and the other being one of my closest friends. Sadly, it all translated to a stupid amount of drama online, and a truly horrible 2022. I lost almost everything I had come to know in the last few years. After a lot of time away from social media and therapy, I'm ready to move on. I'm happier now than I've been in a long time.

Cody is a child at heart, in all the right ways. Silly stupid yet fun ideas, he brings them to life. His humor is also right up my alley, plus he actually does wild stuff. I remember watching him back in like 2018, all those older videos as they came out, the driving without lug nuts, launching beer cans with his exhaust, and our beloved CARL.

Not that I like other car related content (most of them are corny and uninteresting) but Cody is obviously someone that most people would dislike being around or couldn't care less if it wasn't for his lame shock content videos. The emphasis that Jimbo gives about the hate Cody receives (or how "unique" his content is, which doesn't equal to GOOD content) is almost hilarious because, funnily enough, Cody lives off spreading hate with his content. He loves to shit on others (and stuff) so he can make any self-assertion and show to the world how "superior" he is, all while doing anything he can to piss off a certain crowd.

@@dess8808 In a way, it could also be a matter of perspective. As from another point of view, it could just be that he's just having fun and not being overly obsessive over keeping cars pristine. That and being honest when it comes to thumbnails, of course. Either way, I can't blame him, as I'd too would be very entertained if just messing around and getting a car beat up ends up bothering crazy people (seriously, it's only those who are obsessed/crazy who are prone to overreacting).

WhistlinDiesel is probably the only RU-vid channel where I personally saw a video I liked, then binged every video released on that channel. Dude is just an entertainer & I'm not even normally into watching "car content" but after running out of vids on Cody's channel I found myself watching more Donut, Alex Choi & even videos like this one so he definitely has a positive residual impact on the community despite his attempt to poke at the "car" community.

I love the way he shows us that cars are just that, cars. Albeit, in an extreme way, his content is top tier satire. As a fellow JDM fan, I wanna see him demolish JDM cars that simps in our community are pressed to justify are worth $60k-$150k despite not having a chance to own one. I've been watching Whistlindiesel for a long time and he has never disappointed me with any of his videos. There are a few that make me cringe because a few of the vehicles he destroyed I would love to have. But even then it's still very entertaining and hilarious. He truly does not clickbait. And he does not give a shit if he pisses anyone off and I love it

My grandpa showed me whistlindiesel years ago, he loved watching him do crazy stuff with his trucks and the things he wrecked. My grandpa would laugh constantly at the kid and that was years before COVID. I have kept up with WD since those days and always think of my gramps and what he would think. I actually missed Throttle House in the intro, I watch most of the mentioned car channels but Throttle House trumps them all in terms of video quality and story telling. Gears and Gasoline is also great with less reviews and more builds and roadtrips!

Hiluxes are a dime a dozen here in Australia, hell you can het one of similar model for like 18k Australian (wich is like prob 10k usd. I jumped mine doing 100kmh (60 mph) it landed on the front tyres bounced and kept going. I miss that ute

To be fair, there's other channels that follow the non-clickbait thing, but they're more around traditional content: savagegeese (Mark and Jack are amazing together and the content is magazine-coverage level, even above that I'd say with how much they get into both the tech of cars and the emotional side of owning or driving them), Uncle Tony's Garage (all the MOPAR stuff he knows, 2 generations of people have already forgotten), Dylan McCool (just a kid and his Dad rescuing old cars and working on them, with all the pitfalls), Hagerty has been kicking it out the park with their stuff (Davin on Redline Rebuilds, Camissa on Icons), Harry's Garage (you mentioned rich guys, Harry has money but he's not obnoxious about it). As for Cody, my introduction video to him was a Hellcat on wagon wheels.... so, yeah. Subbed :|

I respect that WD doesn't clickbait but I can never get behind someone who purposely does things just to angers others who would otherwise enjoy his stuff, Like I used to find some of the things he does interesting but the unnecessary destruction of otherwise ok or good vehicles I can't get behind especially since we're approaching a time where there may not be much of a car community left so him destroying things like the model t, skylines, the many pick ups, charger, all those things I cannot unsee as him contributing to the decline of a community that has saved the lives of both me and many others I know
