I was hoping it'd go into Platform 2 at Battersby Junction no such luck!I think that maybe only civil engineering trains go into that platform although I've never seen anything use it.
Going back a few years the NYMR ran four dining trains in July on the Esk valley branch and also the odd service train to Battersby during the spring or autumn steam galas. However, these trains haven't run now for several years. There's never been a regular daily passenger service by NYMR to Battersby
