Hey everyone! In today's video I am happy to share my 90 gallon white's tree frog enclosure complete with not one, not two, but three water dishes, one of which is a custom piece! I have two young whites tree frogs I had one 30 years ago as a kid and it died shortly after I got him 😔 I have no idea if I was taking correct care of him. I know I tried. Back then the pet store told you little and this was pre internet. Took me this long to try again. And I’m so happy to see them healthy and growing . Thanks for the education. I love your adorable group of frogs. They are so curious! you do a fantastic job with your channel.

I am a bit taken aback by how they seem to choose to approach you. Sure, it could just be the fact that they expect food, but I've wondered a bit about the sociality of certain amphibian species. It seems White's tree frogs have some behavioural quirks that facilitate cross-species interactions. I know Tiger Salamanders have been documented to use certain "greeting" behaviours with ground squirrels, with whom they sometimes burrow and hibernate. Yes those are Urodeles not Anurans, but still Lissamphibia taxa may not be that distantly related. It would be interesting to know if White's tree frogs also performs similar interspecies communication.

Kiwi looks just like my Ravioli. Unfortunately I didn't have a vet in my area at all that would look at amphibians and he got sick and passed away but that man ate like a champion and pooped in his water bowl DAILY.

Those little guys are SO cute! Kiwi's Alien face hugger moment made me jump back from the screen. The blatant pushing of poor little berry off of the door frame was so mean lol. I see these frogs in my local reptile centre and they have never really caught my interest but you little guys make me see them in a whole new light.

My whites tree frog actually use both vertical and horizontal space so I decided at some point I’m going to up grade Ents from a 24x18x18 to something that is at least as tall but also quite a bit wider.

Hello Jessica 💖🤗🐸🐸🐸🐸, love, love these guys. So much to watch. I think they wanted Mommy time and num nums! Love their apartment. It may not be what you wanted but if I were a froggy I would be happy live there. These guys are so both derpy and personal towards people. Steve even likes them. I played a video of them croaking. He said they definitely wouldn't live in our bedroom! 😂😂🐸🐸. Has Neville gone into brumation yet? My bearded dragon, Sandy has. 🥺🦎I miss my cuddles. He out grew his hide so I got a bigger cave. Switched them out. He didn't even open his eyes 😔. Just turned around and got comfortable. Thanks for this video it made me smile and helped with this stupid depression 🙂 🙃. I have two baby whites tree frogs that I house together that I purchased at the same time. They seem to get along really well but I’m starting to get a little nervous due to the size difference. When I first got them one was a little bit bigger than the other but not by much but I feel like it’s doubled in size compared to the other one. I know that they are both getting enough to eat and both are little chubbsters but I just don’t want the larger one to see the other as a snack soon

@@JessicasAnimalFriends thanks so much for the reply. No I don’t tong feed, I give them dusted crickets every night around 11:30pm (that’s when I get off of work) they grab as many as they want and then climb up higher in the enclosure when they’re done.

What is the koi dish size? That is awesome! I have Koi but also have 2 juvenile White's Tree Frogs. I'll be making their house from the Ikea cabinet and love that dish. Your frogs are awesome! Really enjoy your videos.

I think it’s 12” or 14” in diameter but I’m not sure. It’s pretty big!

Hey do you have any kind of thermometer/heat mat/misting system? I've been told Whites are quite tolerable with that kind of stuff. I get my whites tomorrow - I have a small gentle heat mat and will bottle-mist the enclosure twice a day - do you reckon that will be enough? The thermometer in there is around 25 degrees celcius

fortunately my pet room is warm, so I don't have to add supplemental heat. When you say the thermometer is in there around 25 celcius (77F) do you mean that the enclosure is that temperature or do you mean that the heat source is on a thermostat set to that temperature? I don't use a misting system because the enclosure holds humidity well and they are provided with three large water dishes at all times. The good thing about white's tree frogs is that they don't require really high humidity, so as long as they have a source of water to reach out to at all times, you don't have to be worried about misting often. If anything, just be sure whatever substrate you use isn't super dry, because then it can stick to their skin.

@@JessicasAnimalFriends Thankyou!! The thermometer reads about 22-23 degrees Celsius in the coldest part of the enclosure (so furthest away from the heat mat). I have the whites now and they are only a few weeks old! I’m currently using paper towels as substrate which I make sure is damp at all times :). Any more advice let me know! The heat mat is currently on the bottom of the tank but I’ve been told it’s more effective on the side so may move it

Hi! I have a question! Can I feed hornworms to juvenile and baby leopard geckos? I have both but I want to know if I can. Also, if I can how many? Are they like waxworms where they are treats?

If they’re small enough, yes! They’re treats because they don’t have a good source of protein. They’re rich in moisture and calcium so they make a good healthy treat.

HELP! My tree frog is sick. I think he may have fallen and knocked himself out. I heard a bang 2 night's ago...he was upside down not moving and his legs were stiff. Soon after he flipped back over and woke up. He was walking funny and would eat. He has not been very responsive, his eyes do not respond to light, his skin has gotten darker, and he lies flat as he can't hold is body up long. When I noticed what happened I noticed he seems to have lost wait and his skin was super dry...I don't know if he was stuck somewhere before or what but I think the main thing is he may have concussed himself...please help I don't have ANY amphibian vets around me

There’s nothing I can do. You have to find an exotic vet even if it’s an hour away. Call vet offices and ask if they have an exotics vet, say it’s an emergency.
