I don't know about you guys but if you want a quick break-in, hang your sub with 2 or 3 springs with hooks and free air it with a 5-10mm travel and gradually turning it up to 30-80mm depending on the sub. Just download some of the test tones from realmofexcursion and experiment with those. You should have at least a digital multi meter to calculate the power you're sending to the sub, and if you want to know the fs you need an ac clamp meter hooked over one of the speaker wires, just change the frequency you're running to the sub and if the amperage goes down you're getting closer to the fs. Just do regular checks to see if you're going past the fs so the current doesnt rise too much and heat up the coil. Also, an infrared thermometer is useful if you want to run the sub harder, so you can measure the voice coil temp. Keep it under 50c or 122farenheit, and you're safe :)

Very nice..I am starting to wonder if I should have went the SA15 instead of my 2 Ev2 10's on 600 watts. I have a different vehicle but that one 12 looks like it does the same work my 10's do. Bassheads unite as EXO says.
The sa subs are some of the best out there for the price I got my 2 sa12 for 300 and I feed them 1.5k.... they want more so im going to buy a 2k-3k amp

What does that even mean? Are you talking the ohm load on the amp from the subs? Power rating on the amp to rms rating on the subs? I'm confused on what you're trying to say here.
I have the same exact sub, great budget sub. I run it on a 1.1K brutus hifonics amp and it hits like crazy! All in all man its an awesome sub and song! bass on man
I'm running one 12 inch sundown and my shit sound like that too, that one 12 puts out lows like no tomorrow. I started with two 12 inch kickers and after a month upgraded to the one sundown and it is like 3 times louder and the bass is clean. and the box is smaller, running mine on a kicker 1200 wat amp and it sounds really good.
KoolBreeze5 Nice bro! I bet it's loud as hell! Does it catch the lows? & I'm planning on getting a 1 SA-12 and the guy I go to has a box for it that's like 1.6 cubes. How do you think that'll sound?
If you have the right ported box, it'll hit those lows real nice. It really likes to grab em! And is he a audio shop? Don't go with prefab boxes. They might be the right size for it, but if the the ports to small or tuned to high, it won't hit the lows very well. I've designed all of my boxes and they're really easy to build. If you want you can see my friend's video of his 2 sundown 18s box on IG (@wubmachine) I designed his box. You'd really be better off building one. I can help you with designing if you want.

I mean, you can go with the box your friend has, but let this be a warning to you, most prefab boxes (designed for all woofers), are tuned higher because they are designed for kickers and stuff. So this means that it won't be as loud as it could be.

if the amp is a good brand it will make the subs hits hard even for a 500 watt amp as you can see. I have a jl audio 500 watt amp an it powers subs like it's a 1000 watt amp

I would like your help on designing a ported box for a Sundown SA 12 if i send you the dimensions of my trunk that i have to work with could you let me know the width, height and depth of the box and the port dimensions. i will be running the sub off a JBL GTO 751EZ amplifier, it is CEA Compliant so i would wire the sub to 2 ohms the amp puts out 750 watts at a 2 ohm load. if you could help me out i would greatly appreciate it.
