I feel like the white aluminum frame makes the black bezels stand out too much, especially paired with bright content on screen, like the phone is already wearing a skin around the screen..which does not happen to darker colored 12s bc the frame and bezel visually blend together. Even the bright red color frame works better with the black bezel.

I got the blue because I have been waiting for years for them to release a dark blue iPhone and I just love the look of it. But the white is gorgeous and I'd get that if it weren't for the blue shade. Reminds me so much of my iPhone 4!

Thanks so much for this - very helpful. I'm purchasing the Mini and wanted to see the colors today so I went to Best Buy (to respect the crazy busy Apple Stores) and they only had the Blue. I was tossed with Blue or White - Blue looks like it would leave too many fingerprints. I was hoping the white would be like the SE or almost a silver like the iPhone 6, or Pro models. Would love if they had the finish of the Pro models, but it's time to go back to a tiny phone. Overall? Really pleased with the white color?

Honestly, that blank white on the XR and SE looks rather cheap. I got the white 12 and it doesn’t appear to be creamy at all. It’s just a slightly warmer tone of white. Looks gorgeous
