As siege develops over the years I really hope the developers continue with the serious nature of the game they originally created. I feel as though it's turned from a game based on realism and the horrors of terrorism to a pvp where everyone plays to make their operator dress in the latest aesthetic

When Siege felt like Rainbow Six..

You had a chance to make a good campaign. You just had it. And you blew it away

The French dude is Montagne, cuz it says "1994, Air France and airstair" in the right of the pic. If you Google "1994 Air France Airstair GIGN" pics of the 1994 air France flight 8969 will come up (it was a hijacking) and if you read Montagne's bio it says he was there (Under Relevant Experience). So I'm 100% sure that is Montagne.

This trailer makes me think that there should’ve been a campaign in siege, to fight off the white masks. But since we don’t have anything like that yet, I think once we get to the 100 operator goal that Ubisoft has, they might add in a campaign. That lady said to recruit the operators needed to take out the white masks, so once we get the 100, we will probably get some sort of campaign

you remember when Rainbow Six was actually about fighting terrorism with actual police and military forces and still sorta plausible equipment? Remember the time before it became Overwatch with random archaeologists, psycho PMCs, hackers that forced their way into the unit, and albino civilian astronauts playing basically paintball with each other at the Olympics while in fursuits and zombie masks? sigh....good times

I wish two things: That siege had remained serious/antiterror. Angela had stayed on board.

This entire storyline, Angela Bassett, The White Masks, the Counterterrorism narrative....they just threw it all away in favour of making Siege an eSports shooter. Even Terrorist Hunt, where the white masks appear, has been reduced to nothing but a training mode for multiplayer where the Masks have been forgotten. They even took the Bombers away and stripped the long beloved Terrorist Hunt title away from it. This isn't the Siege I bought in 2015. The Siege I played and loved for three years straight. It never will be ever again.

After all these years I finally realized why I love this trailer so much, She is a qualified professional who is the right person to be sitting in that chair, And she is TERRIFIED of what this Organization is capable of

I wonder what the white masks have been doing for the last few years, Rainbow has been hosting olympic style games for training purposes and civilian entertainment and White Mask has done nothing notable. I wouldn't be surprised if they opened a coffee shop at this point.

It blows my mind that not only did we never really see the threat she talked about, but the plot now revolves around team rainbow going between fighting each other for civilian entertainment, and fighting aliens.... What a sad joke.

Where did it all go wrong

Im perfectly content with the game overall.. Never been one to talk bad about any R6 game.. I guess i just really miss what the old PC games had to offer from the campaigns perspective,, I loved the AI and the idea of planning the missions down to a tee,,, Reading intelligence reports and studying layouts of the buildings before the ops began.... That to me was the golden age of R6 and iv about given up on seeing a modern equivalent come out with the same concept.... Its really about nostalgia more then anything. lol

It was honestly a mistake not to make the defenders terrorists to give the to matches some sort of narrative stake. Sometimes when I play the game today I remember that the matchers are essentially just meant to be glorified paintball and it completely deflates the tension for me.

Now this is gonna sound really wierd. But im planning to do chemistry at uni next year right, and so this vid feels wierdly satisfying...

People do realize that most game trailers are made using the higher quality 3D models and actual computer animation software... so the lower resolution game models will not look nearly this good up close.

I love how multiplayer t-hunt literally lasts for like 30 seconds because how easy it is

This game could've been a SERIOUS competitive shooter with an amazing campaign and they really threw it away. Typical ubisoft.
