Love it. Agree Dougie is cool 👍. Really like his stuff with Michael Schenker too. I learned this intro on guitar using a Digitech Whammy pedal, ~400mS delay and various harmony patches. Needs a lot of subtle whammy bar technique too and add SLOW GEAR effect as well. If you want to personalise it a bit more, add a bit of wah too 👍. Mates have told me it sounds awesome. Likewise the outro keyboard solo 👍. Same with the Gates Of Babylon intro / outro keyboard pieces (switch on the WHAMMY DT pedal for Octave ⬆️ setting for some parts). Absolutely loved Dio-era Rainbow, one of the best progressive heavy rock bands ever. Around this time is when Ritchie (along with Uli Jon Roth) really consolidated the neo-classical elements of heavy rock with heavy use of harmonic minor, Phrygian and Phrygian dominant scales and modes in songs like Stormbringer, Stargazer, Gates Of Babylon, Lady Of The Lake, Spotlight Kid, etc.
