A beautiful card Christine, im in love with white on white cards after watching your videos . I love the hamster story too! Things have come a long way in toy manufacturing. It reminded me of 'the all the rage toy when my daughter was young. Does anyone remember The Pound Puppies in the 80'S? Which to my disgust cost £20 😕 not the pound I was expecting to pay. But I had promised my daughter 😔. It was special because it had puppies, from a pouch in its tummy that velcro'd shut!!! What a let down! But Sarah was in love with it, though after a few month it needed a repair job or - undergo a hysterectomy 😃 😊
I love white on white, it is so elegant. And vellum is also so nice in a card, it is not really used enough I think. Beautiful card, thanks for sharing.
I started out with Sizzix red die cutter (and still have it with an alphabet set) Also had the Cuttlebug but gave it away when I couldn't find any replacemet plates. It was a wonderful little work horse and I was sad to see it go. Lovely card for many occasions. Thank you for sharing
Gorgeous card!!! I've never done a white on white before, but this is beautiful! I definitely need to gove it a try. (Soooo cute about the guinea pig pet toy too.)
Lovely card- I am needing a sympathy card this weekend and love the elegance and simplicity of this card. Hope all is well in the UK! We are hot and steamy in Florida and many homes south of here are still flooded from last weekends storms! Have a good weekend everyone!
There’s something so elegant about white on white…..Great tip regarding snipping the embossing folder. I had to laugh at your description of Cleo’s birthday present, toys of today absolutely amaze me. How wonderful your card turned out to be. Thank you for sharing Christine. 🦋xxx
Beautiful card, Chrissie. I love that 49&Market/Sizzix stamp & die set also. My brother bought me a cuttlebug at a thrift shop on the South Coast here in Australia. He knew what it was for but the ladies didn't. And a friend found me a Spellbinders platinum 6 for $20Au here in Dubbo. Best deal ever! Still had to buy the plates but considering what the retail at in Australia, it was a bargain. 😂
Thank you for another lovely card and more inspiration Christine, just to endorse what you said about the embossing tub, I decanted a small amount of both black and white powder into some spice jars I use, I found the decanted powder is clumping up therefore not easy to pour, I couldn't understand why but now you have explained so I thank you for that, I won't be decanting any more. Always enjoy your videos, thanks so much. Christine in lytham St Annes.
My first machine was a Cuttlebug as well, my daughter still has it. Love the Guinea Pig story and look forward to seeing the card. Gorgeous white on white, that stamp is beautiful.
I have a Big Shot but still use my Cuttlebug for the older embossing folders. What a lovely card you have made - the white on white really works here. Thanks so much and I have liked and shared this video.
Beautiful card - Ta for sharing! I luv your explanation of the Guinea pig card for Cleo. Making personalised meaningful cards like that is what I enjoy the most! Thankyou! 😊
I was fussy cutting today and thought about your tutorial ( never letting the greedy alligator's mouth close fully & turn the cardstock). It wasn't perfect but slowly improving. Thank you again!
The leaf stamps with the outline and then another to fill it in gives a gorgeous result with the white embossing on vellum Chrissie, and I love the strip embossed with the numbers vertically down the lefthand side, and finished with the lovely Alexandra Renke sentiment die. A wonderful white on white card. When you said you weren't sure if it needed something else to finish it, I said to the screen 'a few pearls might be nice Chrissie', and hey presto when you put the finished card up there they were...perfect! Glad Cleo loved her card and present and look forward to seeing her coloured guinea pigs. x
I love my Cuttlebug! You can't imagine my excitement when visiting an estate sale, I found several sets of full plates for Cuttlebugs. The card is beautiful! You give me such inspiration!
Hi Chris, I love today's card so elegant, I was very envious of you going for your meal with the family, unfortunately I'm still on my fluids food, saw the consultant a couple of weeks ago and had some more tests awaiting results ,but I'm still here lol thanks for a wonderful demo 😁
I love this stamp/die set. Couldn’t wait to see what you did. Wow! Beautiful just isn’t quite enough. I love this card. Just stunning. Thank you for sharing your creativity. ❤
Another chic and elegant card Chris. I love the way the two layers meld together allowing one area to appear skeletonised! Stunning. Can't go wrong with Renke and I loved hearing about Cleo's new age Guinea Pig toy. TFS
Beautiful card! I still use my Cuttelbug, I have it set up to do all my embossing and I use my Big Shot with the magnetic plate for cutting. Always the same sandwich! Just lazy I know!
A beautiful card, as always! I love vellum! Happy Birthday Cleo!!! That toy guinea pig story is hysterical! I bought my Cuttlebug in 2011 for $40 USD. I LOVE it. I'm hoping it will last another 13 years since I use it for die cutting and embossing only. 🤞If I need to flatten things (bottle caps, pressed flowers, etc.) I use a metal tortilla press ($5 at garage sale). 😊 Crafting teaches life skills, like ingenuity. 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for another wonderful video! 🩷
I do love your videos and listening to you is such a pleasure as I craft myself. One helpful thing I think would get you more views is if you put a picture of your finished product as the main picture of the video.
Wow, what a wonderful white card. I still have my original Sizzix die cutting machine (the red one with the lever, no rolling yet). It was my go to for many years along with the newfangled Sidekick when it was released. When I finally went back to full time work (when my children went to collage), I splurged and got a Sizzix Big Shot Pro. It didn't always cut very intricate dies great and so I still used my original Sizzix. I occasionally think I'll give it up but I think that's a pipe dream. I do have the Switch now and couldn't be happier but I have to keep the Pro as it has a much larger platform and once in a while I need to be able to do that size die cutting. I do love that the Switch footprint is so much smaller. I love this card and hearing about Cleo. What a funny toy. Made my Sunday morning.
Stunning card Chris, I love the embossed leaves. I have been eyeing that stamp for awhile but my budget took a few hits, so I will get your affiliate link when I am ready to purchase it. Happy Birthday to Cloe, I can't wait to see her card colored in. Thank you!
Stunning card, love it. Could you not make the vellum long and fold over the top and then emboss, then the fold would be there already for you with the extra piece to go over the back, if you know what I mean. Thanks Christine and have a beautiful day xx
Beautiful card! Can you please send me the contact of your friend? My husband just got a 3D printer and it would be great to have him make me a customized glue stand. 😊 Thanks for sharing such great techniques! Love watching your videos and listening to your accent. ❤
I have some Sissix stamps & they don't like the carrier sheet. Very disappointed 😥 Might have to find another way to store them as it's not good if they stick together. 🥴
