Absolutely correct! So many times I have trained others that have had difficulties with 3c. (Tri-coats) white in particular and try to solve the issues with the mid-coat. The best advice I can give, is take the time and adjust (tint) the base coat as needed to achieve a good bendable match and do the job once. We don't get compensation for redo's.
totally, you shouldn't have to keep building up the second stage to make it match. It should almost match on stage one. and a little sprinkle of the mid coat to make it sparkle
I just started spraying ppg envirobase, never struggled with tri coats until now. I lay my sealer and base coat smooth along with tacking before pearl. I seem to keep getting some mottling(especially in my blends) any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
