I’m assuming they’re already mates and he wants the food in her mouth. I’m not sure if ravens do this, but male crows will force or try to force their mates to give up their food.
@user-cp3le5li1t nearly every animal does... most animals born with pigmentation disorders like albinism are avoided by their normal counterparts because they look weird
I say she's piebald and hypomelanistic. Leucism doesn't fade pigment like that. Hypomelanism does. Hypomelanism doesn't cause patches of pure white and patches of pigment. Only leucism can do that. So she obviously has both those traits, making her a very rare bird indeed.
@@samthepancake69 Leucism causes piebald. It doesn't always affect every part of the animal, especially if it's dominant and there's only one copy of the gene. Leucism is dominant in horses, cattle, dogs, cats...most mammals, really. It can be recessive in some other animals, like certain species of birds or snakes.
Looks to be albinism actually, the feet beak and eyes also lack pigment. The appearance of darker patches just seems to be a bit of dirt (it’s like how it’s hard to keep white shoes perfectly white)
We have one of these in our town! Hangs out in the parking lot of one of our grocery stores. He's a bit more gray than this one but I love how the locals always stop and point at him. Tourists don't care at all but locals love photographing him.
@@costAmore no, it,s not equal. It It differs by just one letter: ghost is "preeveedeniye"(прИвидение) in russian, while providence is "proveedeniye"(прОвидение). Also theres another word for ghost in Russia, "preezrak", which is used just as often as the word I mentioned before.
Animals are just like people in this regard, many of them reject those who are different, but some of them don’t. I’m sure the white raven experienced a lot of bullying.
Fun fact: In Andalusia we have a saying to refer to events or people that are very difficult to see or with which it is very unlikely to have the opportunity to coincide. We say "That's a white crow" or "That person is a white crow", usually with a positive connotation, since white crows are much more difficult to find than black ones, which are much more common. I call my best friend "My little white crow" because I consider him a wonderful person and with whom I am grateful to have met in my life ^^
@@soulSSeekingbullet yes. We don't know the crows gender so we use they. Same Way we use the *pronoun* of they when we talk about a person we don't know anything about. Pick up a dictionary some time, you'll learn something

I don't know where you got this from. It's a common myth, but there is no evidence that white ravens are shunned by their families, crows and ravens in general have extremely tight social bonds. Albino and leucistic animals of other types can be shunned, but that's not something see in corvids- usually they die before adulthood for other reasons, including blindness and predation.
Actually a lot of animal species do not reject offspring based off coat coloration. If it's blind or deaf and the parent/s notices it, it may begin to weight it's options... or the offspring could die as adults(more easily spotted) after no longer having parental protection. It's overall a rare phenomenon, so it's not the most documented.
The Russian expression "white crow" is identical in meaning to the English "black sheep". (Crow and Raven are called similar in Russian and confusion occurs)
I adopted a black kitten, who had the name Raven, nine years ago. Last year, I adopted a gray kitten - who had the name Corvus. This is them two, in bird form. The black raven even nips at the gray/white one, the way my Raven nips at her little brother, Corvus.
The first thing that popped up in my head- Sees white crow: O.O Aziraphale is that you Sees black crow next: and Crowley too ✨A+C✨ (If you know, you know)
Two birds kissing on straciatella ice cream 🥰 No but seriously what's the black one doing ? Is it a mating dance ? "I've never seen somebody so unique looking and beautiful as you, I want to have babies with you 🥰" Or is it a racism dance ? "I've never seen somebody so weird looking and ugly as you, are you sure we're the same species ? Lmao go away weirdo 😠" But ! If it's option 2, why were they touching beaks ! Usually it's for exchanching food wich is a nice thing right ? Is the black one a tsundere ? 👀 Bro I want a disney movie on theses 2 😂
Might be they are old friends and just playing? Maybe siblings, so black one is used to this one's colouring. Seemed to me it was a regular interaction, no hostility.
I've seen crows gang up and pluck feathers from one, stripping him of his ability to fly, humiliating him and eventually leaving his fragile body to the mercy of nature, so it's probably either flirting or curiosity
Looks like that one escaped Apollo's wrath! Beautiful! For those who don't know, there's a myth in Greek mythology where one of Apollo's lovers was discovered to be unfaithful. Apollo's white messenger raven/crow told him the bad news and in a fit of rage, Apollo cursed the bird's beautiful white feathers black. All ravens/crows were born with black feathers from that moment forward. I always thought the story was interesting and have never actually seen a white crow until now. They're lovely. 💜
Before the jumps, the black one was acting sweetly with the white one. Then the jumps looked aggressive to me. Now I suspect it was another friendly gesture, maybe a mating dance. The white one didn't look completely scared.
Thats actually wholesome, for what ive seen and read diferent birds and other animals too (like albinos,melanistics,etc..literally diff from what they normaly apear in nature) are bullyied till loneliness and death..they are excluded from their nests and socialy are detested for being different,so actually seeing one adult,in such a beautiful shape AND receiving an actual mating dance from an comon partner?? Its so incredible that makes my heart warm, even animals know how to acept and love differences..
When you're born a raven but wanna be a dove 🕊 (true symbolism here, in terms of a villian wanting to become a hero *cough cough* raven queen *cough cough*) 😅
