Hi, Pedro: Here is the meaning of White Tara’s Long Life Mantra: OM TARE TUTTARE TURE MAMA AYUR JNANA PUNYE PUTING KURUYE SOHA (om tare tuttare ture = Tara) (mama = my) (ayur = life force and health) (jnana = knowledge-wisdom) (punye = merit ) (puting = increase and thrive) (kuruye soha = make it so)! “Tara, make my life force and health, knowledge-wisdom, and merit increase. Make it so!” Different schools of Tibetan Buddhism recite the mantra in different ways. Sometimes "JNANA" comes after "AYUR". In this case, "PUNYE" comes before "JNANA".

This is really peaceful, and we believe this mantra for quick healing or recovery of sick being. I read it somewhere on net post by a good tibetan buddhist master.. OM - means OM ;) ॐ The totality of sound, existence and consciousness. TARE - shows that Mother Tara liberates living beings from samsara. TUTTARE - liberates you from the eight fears related to the external dangers from fire, water, air, earth and also from such things as thieves and dangerous animals. However the main dangers come from ignorance, attachment, anger, pride, jealousy, miserliness, doubt and wrong views. TURE - liberates you from disease. Mama - “mine” or “I would like to possess these qualities”. Ayuh -”long life” - for which White Tara is famous. Punya - “merit” - to live ethically. Jnana - “wisdom”. Pushtim - “increase”.
