Rafting at Kithulgala is suitable for beginners and if you adhere to safety guidelines provided, it's mostly safe. Make sure you chose a good instructor. Lots of people come here to raft & there are only few known serious accidents recorded to-date. Obviously as with any adventure sport, there is always a risk.
