Happy Corona Lock Down! To keep myself limber and active since there isn't much in the way of gigging these days, I have decided to run through a bunch of the cover tunes that we do in Vinyl Rockit. And, even though the Garden of Soul is an original band, we do play a couple of covers here and there so I may throw a couple of those in as well.

Nice job. However, I am pretty sure there are no upstrokes in this song as it masks the click sound of the Pick striking. That smacking downstroke sound of the E and A string really gives the song that bite. It makes the bassline stand out on its own from the rest of the band.

You gut me! You are correct. My alternating picking is usually a sign that my forearm is on fire. Or, I’m just being lazy! 😜 Good catch and thanks for the real feedback!

I'm 50 been playing bass since 92 and never thought about learning Billy Idol but I heard it the other day and thought" I can play that and it's a cool song." So quick lesson then forcing my band to learn it
