This is a cool comparison. Both sounds good, realistically I’d be happy with either. How do you like the Eastman too?

thanks dude, Im a big fan of Eastman - though that doesn't by default make me anti-gibson either

Fun comparison, thanks for that! I have the original Flint and (as a longtime Fender Twin owner) really like the simple, intuitive Rev / Trem it offers. That said, I tend to use the Plate setting for my guitar rather than the splashier Spring. Funny you should mention using both because after watching this I can see how the WW would be a fun one for me on it's own or in tandem with the Flint. I like the option of an Analog (slap-back or wobbly tape) into a (dotted eighth, distant multi-repeat) Digital Delay pairing so why not similar with reverb? The harmonic thing on the WW makes for a funky effect, too. Cheers.

Exactly - we all stack drives and also common to stack delays. Makes perfect sense to use both of these haha. Thanks for watching

Owned the WW V1 and LOVE the sound. It is the perfect analog reverb pedal, expect that it’s horribly impractical and way too delicate. I was sent a bad box, and had constant consistency issues with the reverb decay. Also, it’s just too big to be on a board, unless you’re rolling with a massive board. Also, you were totally correct about the live floor vibration issue. I had the WW springs go off all the time live. It was very annoying, even on a board. I have a flint now. Not as sexy, but a way safer pick for live use. Here is what I would say: Best sound: White Whale Best Live Use: Flint EASILY If you’re an at home player or use dry amps, the WW is a cool choice. Just treat it as a separate unit on top of your amp.

Thanks for the comment - it affirms my choice of keeping the flint too haha

Loved the sound of them both together. I really liked the Flint that I borrowed for a couple of years but on this vid I preferred the sound of the White Whale. I can't afford either of them though 😅

It is a cool sound with both haha. They are too expensive thats for sure but i just go without decent food or any other luxury in life 😅😅😅

Can't go wrong with either sound wise but I'd probably go with the Stryman just for the space saving element.

Pedalboard real estate is important haha. But….. you could go all posh and have a tiered board and use the remote 😎😎
