i understand all of that but let's be logical here, he could very well spare like 10 minutes, even if it was to just show up, wish him happy birthday, eat a pice of cake and leave. he's not a bad father per say, but it's clear that his absence affects boruto. i'm not even the biggest boruto fan and it's a lot easier for me to defend naruto, but in all honesty naruto deserves at least some criticism for it. although if i'm being completely honest, i don't like the route they took with both sasuke and naruto being absent dads in their kids lives. i know it's needed for conflict in the story, but it kind of feels out of character sometimes, even for sasuke. despite him always being a lone wolf, i cannot see him not visiting his family for so many years, it feels off. like we're talking about two ppl who were orphans and suffered immensely for either not having a family or for having lost their family. you're telling me those people grew up to be absent dads? i know this is how they chose to portray them but it doesn't really click with me.

@@ugh5281 now the part of Will of fire, which Naruto had more than any other hokage means that no matter what happens the whole village is his responsibility, that's the reason Konohamaru's grandmother died. Also you saw white zetsu and why Naruto is working 24/7
