For me I don’t think it’s that I don’t want to “succeed” I think I just have things in my life that I’d much much rather focus on. I’m 23 and in December I graduate with my engineering degree and am going to be making 85k a year in January. I worked my butt off for the past 4 and a half years but I really don’t want to work more than 40 or so hours a week for the rest of my life and I know I’ll top out at about 200k a year in my field. I have hobbies, I want to have a family, I want to be in my children’s life, I want to travel. Luckily my job in January is about 40% travel so I’ll get to do that on the companies dime. I don’t think I’m cutout, nor do I want to work 70-80 hours a week. I have multiple family members who did that and regretted it later in life.
@@espada960If you don’t want to go fire protection any sort of engineering will probably suit you well if you are looking for high pay and stability once you graduate it just depends what you’re interested in. Mechanics, electronics, areoplanes and space, structures, designing structures, robotics, computers etc. Just know that any college major you choose which will net you a decent paying job and stability will take hard work and dedication. I worked hard but I also most definitely got to enjoy the college experience I had a good social life, was in a fraternity, had relationships, and got enough sleep (usually). Everyone’s going to tell you this once you start but it’s ALL about time management. If you get your work done on time and start it early you’ll be completely fine in whatever you do during your undergrad.
@@espada960 I have no clue why my other comments keep getting deleted but I majored in fire protection engineering in college and will be a risk control engineer once I graduate. It's a very specialized field but is highly sought after as loss prevention is always needed. The job placement rate for my specific program is 99%. Most people don't know it exists but I would highly recommend checking it out. The current colleges that have undergrad programs are U of M College Park, Oklahoma State University, University of New Haven, University of North Carolina Charlotte, and Eastern Kentucky University. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_protection_engineering Check out this resource for what a fire protection engineer actually does.
With a specialty degree like yours, you should be able to accomplish everything....family and finances. I took a different path which forced me into trading time for money. You made a great decision for your future and I wish you the absolute best!
I’m 30 teaching myself cloud computing. You’ll be good. Just stay levelheaded and passionate about what you love. Like he said, you chose a good path. Just don’t let your job take advantage and become your image. Best of luck
Transparency is always the best way. I'm an open book and just want to show what is possible. There are lots of ways to make it in this life...just sharing my journey so people can see another path!
It’s refreshing to have someone who doesn’t have anything to gain giving so much. You are a good man. Your sacrifice your dedication to build a safety net is rough. Most people won’t do it. It sucks we are the generation of the guru where everyone wants to buy property and make it impossible for normal people to live. But this is really the only way we have now And the fact it’s so hard to convince a partner to do the same with you it’s a race against time
For real man. I appreciate this guy so much he’s really been helping me a lot especially that I’m still young (19) everything this guy teaches is so much more valuable. God bless his heart and soul.
Don't give up on your dreams...its hard but its still possible to make it. There are still good homes available to buy...just have to have the right people helping you!
I find it really relaxing when people talk about their local weather. Could be a fun/relaxing video where you talk about the weather in different areas around the world?
I’m 29 & single. Three years ago I went independent opening my own little salon and my 10 year in the industry is coming up. While being my own boss comes with its own stresses, I learned the hard way that I need a good work-life balance after a few stays in the mental hospital. Diagnosed as bipolar 2. The depression part definitely comes with some extreme setbacks, but after a number of near death experiences, I know I have a place on this earth and great things are in store. I do plan on expanding when the time is right, however I still have goals to reach outside of the beauty industry. I grew up showing horses & am aiming to get back in the game to earn my roses. One day I hope to find someone who appreciates and supports what I have going on. You’re an inspiration!
Thank you for sharing....so glad to hear you are on your way back!! Not sure if you know that I have a horse...have shown him in a few videos. Glad to share that love with you! Just watched your slaughter house video....ughhhh....make me wish humans didn't exist.
@@ASMRReality you should do more horse content! Maybe even a break down of cost and such. The market for them is nuts right now. Easily 5 grand to impregnate a mare. Yes, horse slaughter is foul. Such intuitive creatures; I hurt just imaging what they’re feeling. I have a rescued mustang who is a pretty easy ride & is living the good life. Haha.
@@Loveinthemist11 I definitely plan to make a new horse video soon. So happy to hear you are providing a loving home for your mustang. Happy we share the love of animals and ASMR together!
Hey just wanted to say I appreciate your videos they've been giving me hope in the lowest point in my life atm. I'm 20 years old had to stop education and work because of chronic healthproblems for the past year and a half and feel hopeless. Don't know where to go from here want to start working again as I'm feeling better now but don't know what work to get into to make money etc. as I come from a not so well of family just wanted some advice if you could spare any lots of respect for the efforts you put into your channel. Been having suicidal thoughts go crazy as well and I have no idea how to proceed with no experience and no post high school education
My advice is to look into cell phone sales. The entry requirements are nominal but the income possibilities are big. Once you have success in this type of sales it will be easy to move up to bigger ticket items that pay even more. You also get great mental victories when you close sales and it helps with your mental well being to have a job that provides that type of positive reinforcement. I am certain once you get started at something and can see your daily progress, those thoughts of self harm will go away quickly. They say free time is the devils play thing and I think you just have too much of it right now. Need to get productive and it will fix all that!
I'm 28 pushing my career in Cybersecurity. All my friends are getting kids and maried but i want to secure myself first. Like you i come from a modest background and i have big expectations. I just want to say that you are inspiring to me. Maybe you can do a video on what books helped you through hard times ? Subscribed.
My husband and I bought a very affordable house before the covid bubble, and we are paying it off early. It's not fancy but it allows me to stay home with my children and homeschool them. we will be debt free before we turn 40 ! We both make huge sacrifices but it is so worth it 😊
Unfortunately I don't even know what all I am invested in. I pay an advisor with Merrill Lynch and Mass Mutual to handle my stock portfolio. I do handle my own crypto and have Bitcoin, Ethereum and Chainlink only.
I just graduated my 1 month training process through AT&T as a sales rep. Definitely a different type of job and overall experience compared to my previous jobs, I should be getting my business cards and company phone next week. I just turned 25, any advice whether it be career wise or how to level up overtime from my current career path? So far I do like it, full hourly along with uncapped commission! It’s my first sales job but I’m thinking about using it for a long term career whether it be with the company or not. Before I worked at QuikTrip for 7 years as a clerk and management.
@@102298meh I switched over to handing out a publication as my business card. I get a lot less clients in real estate so I can afford to pay the $5 a copy that the magazine costs. It has a write up on me in it and it has a lot of helpful articles about the home buying and selling process. Would love to hear your ideas on cards though.
So proud of you 👏you did a really good job it seems you liked alot your jobs and you were good at sale business you had such an amazing result You are so real and lovely i hope that you'll be so happy and successful in your life Thank you for your wonderful expriment👏
hi!! can you do video with a cupped whisper and heavy breathing?? kind of like 4:12-4:24 literally made me sleepy instantly!! love your videos keep going!! 💟
even tho i get that you’re proud of what you did (as you should be) i don’t think it’s fair that our society is structured in such a way that because of where you were born you had to slave away like this. you deserved to have a life and have a family outside of work just like anyone else
Nature is cruel, my friend. Look at all the civilizations of the past. People had it much worse than me. I did not have to strive for financial success. That was my choice. I could have had a family if I wanted to make those sacrifices. I chose my path and I accept it. Survival is difficult and I don't blame anyone or anything. I appreciate your concern for me but I just don't know any better way to structure the world than how we have done it. If there is a better way, we certainly have never found it. This is the best there is for now and we just make the best of it!
@@ASMRReality i agree that this is the best way to structure the world so far. and i see your point about people in the past having it way worse you’re definitely right about that. but i find it hard to believe this is the end of history and that we won’t figure out a better future some day. like i bet people that lived under kings thought the world would be like that forever the same way we might not be able to see beyond this current system. if humans are around we will continue to progress. just might take another 1000 years but i hear you on all the rest. got to make the best if what we’ve been given
@@dariomccarty366 I definitely agree that things will change. I certainly hope they change for the better. I think technology will play a crucial role iin structuring whatever is next! Appreciate your insightful comments!
Throwing it back at me bro. Good for you! I truly just want peace. I am backing off on real estate to a more manageable level that allows me more free time to focus on creating content online and spending time with my animals. Thats the life I love !
@@ASMRReality Love that! The work ethic to spend so many hours on one thing is extremely impressive and I am trying to attain that myself with sport at the moment. I do believe balance is important too though. Great video, thanks!
I’m 23 and in two minds at the moment - do I try find my calling/passion and go all out which could take years and years to pay off, or do I go all out on an online entrepreneurial endeavour that isn’t satisfying to my soul but could give me finances..
@@ASMRReality That's exactly my thought process.. deep down I'm just scared it won't work out and all the hard work and mental hustle would have been for nothing. But then again, its a risk that I need to take or I'll be the same forever. Thanks a lot for such a great video
@@liamfoo09 A wise man once asked me "if you could be anything in the world and you were absolutely certain you would not fail, what would you be?" When I answered him, he said....do that and you will not fail. I am certain you will not fail either and it is that fear of failure that you can use to motivate you through it. Face that fear and you will conquer it!
I would recommend starting in cars before homes. One, it is easier to get started and also it doesn't cost money to get into car sales where there are expenses to be in real estate. You could even start smaller like selling cell phones or electronics. I know a guy making $100k selling cell phones. The key is to start in sales of some sort, if you find success in that you can start moving your way up.
I was selling phones during undergrad from 2012-2017. I paid for my public Texas education out of pocket from working at Sprint. Made about $1500 a week working 30-40 hours
@@UncleLuke92 Thank you for adding this comment. I have mentioned this several times as a great entry point to sales. You can make a great living and hone your sales skills without the worry of going without a paycheck like what happens in real estate.
Love the vid my man. But I must say the clip at the beginning did make me uncomfortable. Jordan Peterson is a war crime enabler, @ing Netanyahu to “give em hell” referring to Palestinians. It’s not war it’s genocide, someone as knowledgeable and compassionate as you would know that, all it takes is a bit, not a lot, of reading
Its crazy you mention this because I speak about it in my video tonight. I've tried to stay out of controversial topics and I certainly don't try to take sides on the video tonight. I respect a lot of what Jordan speaks on but I am certain that I don't agree with everything he believes. I won't be posting his "give em hell" video...that I can assure you.
I represent buyers and sellers. I occasionally do buy and sell myself and make extra that way as well but my primary source of income is commission from selling other peoples homes or helping them buy homes.
@@ASMRReality oh so you’re a realtor? That’s awesome I’m proud of you being able to succeed in life the way you wanted! Most people can’t say they did everything in life they wanted so congrats!
@@ASMRReality OH one more question if you don’t mind? Are you just selling residential real estate? I’m not sure what area you live in so I’m sure the profit is completely different cause of our areas but here in PA the average realtor income is like 50-150k a year. Or is it just because you’re working way more than other people?
@@Parmeshxwn I do primarily residential but have sold a couple of commercial units. Our average here is the same for average realtors. I just am not average. I am a high performer at the top of the industry here. You have all levels of performers here. There are agents making $3 million a year here too so I am not making more than them.
