Its not even *Their* Best Major Reason is the Riffs & the Solo sections repeating multiple times, there was a Riff on the later part of this Album which was straight out taken from 1 of their Early Songs. 2 Solos were repeated, 2/3 other Riffs were repeated with just a very little variation & some other stuff as well. This is what made me not hold this Album worthy, although this Album did have some Bangers like *Section 8, The Night Remains, Make It Bleed* etc. Their Best Album probably is *This is Exile* absolutley Monstrous Breakdowns, Riffs & Vocals, nearly *All Killer No Filler*
For me, the best 2012 album. I bought CD and I can't stop listeing to it, when I'm in work, when I ridding a car, when I train, and I love listeing to it when I go to sleep, I bought it one month ago and I can not get bored.
I’ve always loved the way Gabe’s bass cuts through the mix on this track. I don’t know if he just used super-high action or what, but it sounds sick. He’s an awesome bassist
some of us maybe, did you never had the feeling that a song gives you so much power i mean this song is so strong and so powerfull i drives me instantly in a good mood
Lyrics: Let this be the day that I stop to care and pour my hate upon this world Look me in the eyes, tell me you don't feel the same anymore Look me in my fucking eyes Fuck what you think I'm so sick of all these people pretending like they don't have a darkness, All they harness is light Where there is love there is hate and all the things that coincide blind Our eyes and take over our minds I am hate you are hated, I've created you've created Now get it through your fucking head, we create hate Perfection is neglected now it's rough around the edges and the lesson that We've learned; we have neglected ourselves Cram it down your throat and choke
@Jjarnd Msdiun They play 2 guitarist with 7 strings tuned to Drop G (D Standard with a low G) and the other guitarist has an 8 string with a Low D i believe, it use to be E cause they use to play drop A.
good to hear something different from them...in my personal opinion... it means u can expect lot of new ideas in next albums. I feel like they grown up a bit. Love all of their albums.
+Draden Merenox Late reply but there was never a guy named Jack in the band. He's talking about when their music was based off of Jack the Ripper, they got their name from where he murdered his victims. Almost all of The Somatic Defilement was based off Jack the Ripper.
It really does sound like Slipknot. Btw, the same people who is butthurt about that breakdown being compared to slipknot is the same people who gets butthurt when metalheads trash talk deathcore =)
All right guys, I need your help. Whitechapel are one of the the few deathcore bands I like and I'm looking for any other band that has s similar sound. No Suicide Silence, Carnifex, Despised Icon, or any other well known desthcore band I've gaved them all a listen and it just wasn't for me. Thank you in advance
+Metaldrummer67 Maybe you should try All Shall Perish, Oceano, Thy Art is Murder, Or Impending Doom. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell. They are well known, but they show great musical ability and talent in my opinion. Definitely better that every band you listed that you said you didn't like.
+Cameron Polidore Enterprise earth,Walking dead on broadway,Sciense of sleep.Misantropic Tyrant,Angelmaker,Chamber of malice and Beyond Deviation in my opinion are fucking sickness and very diabolic
Slaughter to prevail is fucking heavy and alex teribble urghhhh can't explain most brutal deathcore vocal i ever heard. Point below zero is one the greatest underated deathcore band, Lorna shore is technical deathcore.
Every fucking metal band out there that has succeeded in any way with their music deserves what they have because they have worked their asses off to get to that point. Bands do take ideas from other bands but they dont COPY other metal bands. They are inspired to become a great metal band and the strong ones survive and make it. Stop fighting over whos better or whos copying who. Just respect that they have dedicated their lives to make your ears happy.
Definitely digging this direction Whitechapel has taken. They have some new sounds but also have kept their original sound as well. It is a good blend.
saw these guys live two days ago at mayhem fest, bristow, va, they fucking killed it, the wall of death and there was a circle pit the whole time they played.....such greatness.
Whitechapel, Protest the Hero, lamb of God, Woe is Me, Bless the Fall, Slipknot, KoRn, Soilwork, Cannibal Corpse, Dimmu Borgir. I fucking love all metal.
I went to Whitechapel shows before the labels, before the world tours, in small ass nothing towns and wherever would allow them to set up and listen. Keep the metal alive guys, and we hope to see you soon once again. If you dig Whitechapel check out Bloodthirst Rehab's new music video Chapter Black on RU-vid! Metal is life
The album is awesome. I don't understand why people are bitching about it? I don't know what some of you people are expecting from this band but they're maturing as a band and getting better.
Thanks for the recommendations. I wish more people would list bands they like instead of arguing over everything. I'm actually getting back into metal after being out of the scene for years (used to be into Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Testament, Sepultura, etc ...). Metal has grown so much since then, and there are so many great bands.
I grew up listening to metal. I remember my dad banging out Judas Priest and fixin' his bike. I also remember when Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Slayer, and all the rest of the staples of what is apparently "real" metal to punk kids now. This is an evolution within the bounds of one of the most enduring forms of music that has ever been. Ever changing and evolving. This shit goes hard, and I like it as much as when i first heard Obituary in the early 90's. Your prejudice represents all unmetal.
Bozeman said in one of his interviews that it just makes a heavier and thicker sound. Not exactly sure how that works, but maybe one can do what the others can't, or maybe one was a friend that wanted to be in the band so they were just like "Aight, you can play guitar off in the corner."
Well, Whitechapel is just doing what every band does in their own way, and that is experimenting and improving their sound. This is a completely different band compared to what they used to sound like. (but that's just how I see it) I met Phil in Memphis and we talked briefly on it and he said basically the same thing!
To me, yes. I couldn't care less about any of them. In fact, I'm really not just insanely into Whitechapel, I was just checking out their new music. I actually thought their last album was amazing.
I am blown away at the fact that someone can hear this and say "they got better" I am a loss for words, and I cannot figure out how someone can like whatchapel enough to look them up on google, any death metal band for that matter, hear this, and say anything possitive at all. I am fucking shocked to say the least. Honest.
I dunno why everyone's getting their turtles in a twist over this. I'm pretty sure I came blood at some points throughout this, it's the shit! This is definitely Whitechapel's finest work.
