Kevin Lane is such an underrated drummer. The drumming at 1:45 proves that. Dude has such a unique style to his writing. Definitely one of my favorite drummers.
I've just started listening to them and for someone who likes asking alexandria we the kings parkway drive etc this is quite an improvement for me ayyy
Dirty?? Lol we considered this clean as it got when it released because they were all re-recordings of EP songs everyone endured. Funny how perspectives work.
Idk man you have to appreciate when a band changes a bit and hones their style down, their newer stuff is different, but its still white chapel, his vocals have gotten cleaner he is easier to understand but just as deep. Also I think their songs have better structure not then they use to, but the old stuff was straight evil I'll give you that lol.
Seriously I'll never forget 2007-2010 those were the fucking years to be there while the scene was vibrant and active. Lots of shows n friends. Highschool man im 26 now....this shit is crazy how time changes everything.
The original mix of this song is still superior than the publicly available version right now on streaming services. There is something raw in this mix I just can't get enough of.
This is all I seem to find on the videos, the fans who are arrogant to believe that the music they listen to makes them tough, and better than everyone else at everything. Thank you for restoring my faith (slightly) in humanity.
Well, that is only three. I can name a lot more bands - Winds of Plague; Doom-era Job for a Cowboy; Thy Art is Murder; Annotations of an Autopsy; Despised Icon; Abaddon; Eat a Helicopter; Suicide Silence; Infant Annihilator; Impending Doom. Bear in mind, I don't listen to any of those bands. I only know of them. I tried a few of them in the past and I didn't enjoy them all that much.
I would imagine some of this written through jack the rippers eyes, considering the name of the band is Whitechapel and the lyrical content is related. A good question for phil and they boys
tell me the end of this song does not have some of the best synth work in deathcore? lol like straight up melodic as fuck, like some early Dimmu type shit on synths
Am I the only person who thinks that this is more like "death metal with breakdowns" instead of "deathcore"? I know that is the definition of deathcore but I feel like this is more technical like death metal, than actual deathcore. Confusing, I know.
It sounds like death metal because its fucking deathcore wtf, you want it to be 24/7 breakdown only with growls? there's more to the fucking genre this entire song is obviously DC.
His new vocals are good but in my opinion too monotone, on this album his lows go ridiculously low and his highs are also ridiculous, and the new songs are just kinda in the middle the whole way through ._.
agreed. I like the new stuff too but the way he did his vocals on this album was way more intense and heavier compared to their newer stuff. I still like whitechapel and they re still one of my favorite bands
Thank God he is listening to Whitechapel! It's good music man, I'd much rather our youth be listening to music like this than ignorant rap music like most the kids do
The first 2 cd's of this bands are fucking masterpieces, i still love whitechapel, even with all the changes in the sound that they have done, the last cd in my honest opinion is truly underrated .
I know what you mean man, this CD was more of a serial killer just straight brutal album. I've grown to like the others but this one is easily the best.
Part of the reason I respect whitechapel despite my position on deathcore. You don't see much concept art within the genre and I love concept art. Plus over all they aren't a typical deathcore band.
