Another finger lickin' good episode. If you're interested the Fall 2018 Flyfishing & Tying Journal has the story of Henry Hoffman Super Hackle. He sold his business to Dr. Whiting in 1989. It's amazing the amount of work it took to start and continue the development of feathers by these two men, not to mention the crew that now cares for and processes all those birds! Thanks guys for another informative and entertaining video.

Yep anybody can do it, just get a Doctorate in Poultry Genetics and spend 30 years doing very hard work to get the chickens to where you want them to be! It's great that you show us where this all comes from and how much work goes into the feathers we buy. Worth every cent and then some.

Very cool video! When I was a biology major at Mississippi State, the professor who taught genetics was nicknamed "Chicken Thomas" because he was part of the Poultry Science department. I didn't get it then, but I sure do now. Wouldn't it be something to know what Tom Whiting knows and to follow up on it?
