if you try hard enough, the hard thing about this song is not the high notes, its the duration of the voice and how you have to take the right amount of breath at the right time
So true. Luckily training in opera and strengthening my breathing in addition to doing pranayama (Indian traditional breathing yoga), has helped me immensely to intensify my lung capacity. 🙏🏽
7 tips for singing this song: 1. Before singing take a deep breath and get a warm drink of water and just take breaths! 2. Sing pretty soft for the first 2 verses, be calm, and be gentle with your voice. 3. When it hits the "I will always love you" like the last 3 are high notes and it's pretty hard but relax your voice and be calm and try to make it high as you can, people will be jealous! 4. Don't freak out when you mess up make them jealous with the nest verse! 5. Try and sing with the green line when it touches the letter. 6. Make sure your ready and try your best to just be you because your voice is unique so be yourself when you sing. 7. Ive been trying since covid, so why not? I finally tackled her run on, split sentence parts. The and i will always love you iiiiiii (take breath) will always love you, iiii (take breath) repeat part. But that very ending where its all long, & shes hitting three ranges (im not a professional singer but i gathered i at least have a voice head thing is what "they" call it) i swear, its like the damn breathlyzer sh for my car... Just when i think im gonna not make, i oop made it. I swear they extend it those things to longest they possibly can to average human person who needs to breath for life. Just try to open your throat (the space between the nose and the mouth too), don't force it. There are lots of different ways of hitting a note, you just need to find the one that feels comfortable to you
***** Your throat shouldn't hurt if you are breathing correctly. Make sure you are singing from your diaphragm. Easy way to tell if you are breathing correctly is to take a breath. Do your shoulder rise up? If so, that means you are not fully using your diaphragm. When you breathe your stomach should expand out this way the air is not getting trapped behind your rib cage and you can hold more air too.
Half the time when even professional singers try to sing this song their throats even hurt at the end of the song which is kinda normal cause it is a hard song It's actually one of the hardest songs to sing in the world But actually personally I don't find this one to being one of the hardest I find Demi's skyscraper song harder or a lot of her songs hurt my throat a lot more than this one does & titanium & a few of Celine Dion's songs are much harder than this one as well (Well for my voice personally) though I can go to a 3 & half 4 octave range I still don't feel that my voice is powerful enough which makes me really sad cause I really care for singing a lot Like at the end of this song I feel like I almost sound like a child or a younger teenager like 13 & yet when I do the beginning of course I don't sound like a kid cause I have more control of my voice in mid range
I sang this in front of my class witch has 26 people in. They said OMG YOU BROKE THE WINDOWS WITH YO HIGH NOTES! I was like yea cuz I can sing duh. People started following me on my social media! Awesome! My friends said you sang that better then Whitney can!
You are exactly right, and that is why some singers sound horrible to us when we actually hear them in person.. Even some professionals have to use auto-tune these days to get it recorded.
for all those who say not to sing Whiney Houston songs because no one can sound just like her - if you can sing those notes well, then you can do her songs. Even in a contest, the idea is to sing it the best -- not to sound like the original artist. If you will notice - at the beginning it always says "in the style of" -- not the word STYLE. So be you, but just do it in that particular Style. No one is judging you, or expects you to sound just like the original artist. If you have the right voice range, don't deprive yourself. It took me 2 years to try one of her songs , & discover that I can sing her songs , even though a friend of mine already knew. Like a lot of people here, I was afraid to try, & when I finally did try - to my amazement found that I actually could sing her songs. So if you happen to be a Soprano (or Tenor) & love her music - give it a shot. Who knows until you try? Just saying ....
