My husband has cancer. He is sort of better now. But in so many moments not knowing what was going to happen.... we have been together over 3 decades. Do I have to say anything else? 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
@@MrZzzjjj Of course I'm not kidding. Even Whitney said herself that Christina is the only singer alive who could do justice to her songs. In fact Christina sang at Whitney's tribute, in case you are ignorant of all of that here's a link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cV639KVmzcY.html
dochnicht that’s definitely not a match. She’s good but there’s levels to singing. Christina tried to hard and it was obvious. She knew she was fucking up. You could hear Mrs Houston’s vocals in every line. Christina couldn’t do that. Christina didn’t close well
Amen man. This was the best era in Hollywood music at least, to be alive. I was born in 2000. I found out about Whitney when she passed. I was like 11 I think. I’ve never stopped listening to her since then. I’ve listened to every single record and live performance of hers that is known to RU-vid and wherever. This performance should be pinned in the records as the best musicality, live band, and storytelling to ever bless the earth. Not including her absolute insane vocals. Whitney is at peace, and she did a job well done here.
I'm 16 and I can't stop listening to it. Her unreachable voice has impressed me for years now that I have been listening to her music and I will never forget it.
Erm.. I hate to break this to you but she started losing her vocal range and power in the mid-late 90s due to a severe crack cocaine habit that withered her body and eventually caused the heart attack that killed her in the bath. She isn't "holding back" here, she's doing her best to work around the fact she can't hit the big notes and sustains that she used to. The difference is obvious when you watch her performances from the late 80s/early 90s. It got worse and worse through the 2000s with her appearing clearly intoxicated, fatigued and confused on stage.
@@AD-kv9kj that’s what I love about her. The fleetingness...watching an angel touch down and fly away. Knowing she was either going to die or lose that voice...makes you love it more. I enjoy the transformation. I even enjoy her final performances.
That fan in the crowd screaming "don't go" and she singing "so I'll go" made me cry! Why did you had to go angel? We miss you so much words can't explain it
I'm a grown man, but I cried so much when Whitney died. So weird, how a complete stranger can have such an influencing part of our lives. Music is truly a gift from our Creator (s). I know I will see and hear her beautiful, one of a kind voice , one day again in the Afterlife
Me, I cried when I saw her and I remembered when she performed this on Divas on VH1, and I came across this video when the world lost, the greatest singer of all time. The reason for me crying, because she deserved better then what see got in the end., so she can finally be free and happy. God bless you Ms. Whitney Houston and I personally Thank You for all the beautiful music you gave us. May you forever Rest In Paradise 😇❤
There is this tone to her voice. This clarity. Its unmatched. She was and always will be the most gifted, talented and beautiful singer to grace this earth.
Absolutely. I was so glad to find this video after seeing vids towards the end when she could no longer sing like this. Was that because she stopped singing for a long time? She was the best that ever was.
@@vitocorleone8323 it was because of her drug use, a lot of people don't know that after she had her child in 93 she wanted to take a break & come back, but her manager wouldn't let her because he wanted her to keep singing & touring & told her then husband bobby to convince her to keep going. due to that her addiction only worsened because she was stressed, they ruined her right in front of our eyes only just for them to get rid of her later on.
Don't think she had Amy Winehouse's timing though. Wnitneys's head voice is equally as astonishing as Amy's timing though I know no one else who compares them as singers (female)
She was the only and only only singer who gave me goosebumps since I was a child and still giving me chills with her amazing voice and beauty. I love you Whitney and I will always love you ❤❤❤
She does anything she wants with her voice and the notes of the song ... A professional singer on the scene. Her voice is indeed a musical instrument. Rip Whitney we will always love you .
@@江俊德-l1mmost performers sweat under the intense spotlights. If she was out of breath she still sounded better than you, I are any other singer. Just because you don't appreciate her is no reason to put down a deceased person. It's not wise.
Whitney didn't just sing songs to a tune, she lived and breathed the music. You can see she's feeling it inside, it's flowing through her and she becomes one with it and makes it her own when she sings. Unquestionable talent x
Her ability to rearrange the vocals of a song to fit what ever state her voice was in that day and still give us a great alternative rendition is true talent. She was very confident with her gift.
It sounds like she knows her voice so well, that at this point, she is just playing around in a good way. She knows what her voice can do and she is just singing her soul out.
Unfortunately you are wrong ... She was burnt on drugs in this video and what you perceived as playing was her hiding that she didn't have what she had 5 years prior and she and her manager knew it so they fooled you..
She was tired after hours of show but she knew how to manage her voice. That's iconic and very professional from her. Only one whitney forever! Respect Mama and Rest in Power
Others have tried but no one came close to this fine rendition of this song ❤ Rest In Peace. You were gone way too soon. Thanks for sharing your voice.
She just opens her mouth and the music comes out stress free. Whitney and Micheal for me will always continue to be music icons who set the bar so high that it's yet to be broken. I miss her so much.
Whitney was amazing! But Michael? I don't think so. There's so much better examples. Tina Turner, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey. Michael Jackson was good, but wasn't the best.
U made my day better. I didn't expect . .. this is very nice of u. God bless u. Lets keep on going with this. I'm travelling between Berlin , USA and England. God bless u all...
Shay G There's a female singer who had consistently topped Whitney long before, Whitney died. Maybe, you've heard of her. She's only the BEST SELLING FEMALE ARTIST of ALL TIME. Are you aware that in 2000, The World Music Awards awarded her the ARTIST of The MILLENNIUM❓❗👸🏼🎤🎶 (She won in the female category. Michael Jackson was the male category winner.) Maybe you should check out her music before foolishly attempting to crown Whitney. 🚫👸🏾🚫 The true Queen has the crown and her name isn't Whitney... It's the one and only, the elusive chanteuse herself, Ms. Mariah Carey 👸🏼🎤🎶❗
Even during this times where her voice was declining, she never lip synced by choice. That’s how much she loved singing and music that she would sing even when she knew how she would sound.
This is September 2024 & this song of legendary singer WHITNEY HOUSTON continues to be exceedingly electrifying, enormously emotional, exceptionally enthralling, excellently elegant, exclusively elating and exquisitely expressive. Her singing is singularly soulful, spellbinding, superb, sincere, sweet and simply spectacular. She will always be remembered forever for her heavenly singing. R.I.P. . ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Whitney Houston and Celine Dion are two of the most iconic and beautiful vocalists. We miss you, Whitney. Thank you for blessing us with your voice and passion.
This performance is not even in her prime and yet, just reached 100 millions of views and it’s her signature song. Even after her prime time, Whitney could still deliver amazing performances and touch the world with her voice and stage presence. RIP Whitney🕊
her skill was next level here. she has never been so refined and so perfect. she always has effects on her mic but here there are no effects and she is the most refined. She could not have pulled off this performance earlier in her career. (in my opinion)
I'm so proud to say I was born in 81 and got to live in a time of Whitney, in a time of Michael Jackson, in a time of Mariah Carey, in a time of Prince, Madonna, big hair bands, and the birth of Hip-hop.. and then to watch them all evolve into the 1990s and become larger than life, I wouldn't want to have been born in any other time period in history. I lived through the greatest 2 decades in the history of our world 🌎.. the 80s and 90s will never die.
Liverpool won the European Cup in 1981 too, more importantly. Must be upset you missed out on John Lennon though, I would. Tottenham were shit, and still are.
Please listen Glennis Grace with same song and you’ll be speechless 🙏🙏🙏🙏She’s lije a reincarnation of Whitney… let me know how you feel about her singing
Not at all. Go listen to the original she put everything into that one. You can tell by this performance that there was already a lot going on in her personal life. Still great but not how she could do it before.
How You forgot about that, Mama. Ich hab mich fast bepisst vor lachen. Und dann kommt Michael Jordan noch mit i belive i can fly. If i could turn back the hands of time.i'll be missing You.
Can't no one can compete with her still. It's about to 2025, and there still is no voice who comes across so clearly felt on every single note. Whitney is GOAT
@@jonuncaged4341 those are complete two different voices and styles. Get out of here! Yes, Dolly wrote the song but her voice doesn't come close to Whitney's.
you watch the singers of today and then you watch this. This is perfection, this is a true divine gift. She has all the soul and perfect pitch to go with it.

@@wj744 they knew her voice was going. She gave her all here. The way she looks at her daughter when wishing love and the way Bobby was thanking the heavens when she was able to pull of that high note at the end. My fave performance of any artist.
Right??? Can you imagine seeing her live? I don't know about you, but I'm old enough to remember when singers were SINGERS, bands played live music, and seeing these people onstage was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
I've been listening to you since I was a child. Before I understood your voice, I already understood your soul. It has always spoken to me. Your spirit is within me.
This is what mastery of one’s craft looks like. Flawless. Unmatchable. 100 percent original. Never again will there be anyone like this. As soon as you think you know which way she is gong to take it, she sends it someplace you didn’t think possible. Mind-blowing.
The absolute brilliance of Whitney Houston. Her voice is like liquid gold. Her beautiful presence with her voice and an orchestra and I love how she directs the Orchestra while she's singing. She knew she was going to sing the hell out of that song, and she did. You could tell by the look on her face before she started. She took that song to a whole new level.
