Dear Lai Just as much as all of your work, I gotta say that this tribute to Whitney Houston is absolutely fantastic. Thanks for sharing your talent. Well done, my friend.....
Excellent. It made a beautiful tribute to the goldfinch of North America. I regret the loss of this extraordinary singer. Congratulations on this work.
Lai....this has to be one of your best ever....from the heart and every hair on your body must have contributed to the making of this outstanding video. You've come a long long way man!
Gorgeous!!! I'm sure both Dolly & Whitney would love this! I just recorded a CD with mostly covers, and when you bring your heart & soul to a great song, it's a beautiful thing! Congrats!
I've just subscribed now, after watching a couple of your videos. Great work! You might not have the most refined technique on youtube, but you sure have one of the best feeling and musicality I've ever seen on this site. Looking forward to hear more from you!
Once again PHENOMENAL my friend. I don't write often sorry but I'm so a hudge fan of yours. I keep show to my friend what you do. You are just unbelievable.
Your music is absolutely beautiful and sentimental. I really love this one...it's so heart warming and it cries out to you. Keep up the good work...you should be recording for a big label.
One more thing. She actually wrote it as a message to Porter Wagner. She wanted him to understand that though she wanted to go off on her own, she would always love and respect the man who was responsible for making her famous.
@Tjeerdoweirdo Because nobody knew this song existed until Whitney sang it. No, she didn't "wrote" any music, but she did write some of the songs she performed and apart from the piano, which she could play just fine, her voice was a musical instrument.
Lai--don't pay any attention to them. This is a great Dolly Parton written and sung song that you have done wonderfully well. Why not re-submit without reference to Huston--the closing artwork is enough for those who understand. In the meantime how about doing some other Dolly Parton greats. You did this one so well--there are so many more of hers just waiting for you. Good job my friend.
Most times I think a guitar sounds better than a voice. Though this is a fire performance, it’s no substitute for Whitney’s voice. Even though I know she’s not the original artist, she just can’t be beat
What the hell? Why would somebody unsubscribe because of a cover of a great song of a great female singer? You music noobs should learn something outside the area of rock, it's not the only good genre of music, although it is the best one. Pretty awesome arrangement Lai!
A W E S O M E ! Thank you so much for this great guitar arrangement of this epic song!! In opinion, I would change in every song the voice to guitar, because I love it :D But Whitney Houston is one of very few, where the human voice is already out of this world...
Does that epi les Paul have a bigsby on it? I can’t see back there but he is using something if that is actually the guitar in the audio. Great guitar work!
Wow you are totally fantastic and i hope from the bottom of my heart, that you will succsess with your music and hit the world whit thunder! sorry for my english though.
