Karen from RELIGIOUS right got her 2 nano seconds !!! And clearly she envied madonna for the JPG cone bras!!! Whih were Absolutely Fabulous for thier time !!!!
@@KebabMusicLtd Sweetheart that why the response to the question was speaking to her about life choices. And the last time I check drug usage is considered a choice in life. The answer was an on time response.
Whitney handled that with so much CLASS! I have no idea why everyone wanted a Madonna Whitney beef! Whitney was a vocalist who could give a fun performance at times! Madonna was a performer who could give some good vocals at times! Both musical artist but totally different! I'm a fan of both.
@@normanmonico208 Firstly, they started in the 80's at the same time. Secondly, she did sing pop, especially in the 80's. Not all black singers are restricted to R&B.
In 1992 and 1993, Whitney had covered Dolly Parton's song and it was the biggest single released in that era. She also welcomed home the Gulf War veterans. Whitney was the apple of the music world's eye in 1992-1993. This was all before the marriage to that P.O.S. Bobby Brown. Madonna, in 1992 and 1993, had suffered a huge public (pre-cell phone, pre-internet) backlash because of the simultaneous release of the flopped Erotica album, sleazy Sex book, and crap film Body of Evidence. It all backfired on Madonna and almost nearly ruined her career. Ironically, by the end of the nineties, Whitney Houston's life and career were crashing and burning because of a much-covered up at-the-time drug addiction that I blame on Brown. Madonna, on the other hand, had a huge comeback after the birth of her daughter with her 1998 Ray of Light album which to this day is considered her finest work of music after. Madonna seemed to clean up her image after that album's release while it was all downhill for Whitney with the disaterous 2001 Michael Jackson tribute concert appearance at MSG.
The sad irony is that Whitney and her daughter have both passed away and Madonna has released another album in her fifties and has six children. She is a brilliant businesswoman. Whitney was a class act. Rest In Peace.
Aside from being the greatest singer to ever exist, hands-down, as well as one of history's most beautiful women. She was also the most well-spoken human being I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. ❤
I personally think the question was dull and pointless really. It was a dig at Madonna. They are entertainers. I think what Whitney might have been trying to say was that she hoped her daughter would know the difference between real life and a stage persona. They put on a show for a living. Why would Madonna have to explain anything to anyone about her art? Maybe the woman misinterpreted what Madonna was saying, or whatever. But again, I think the question was shallow.
God she answered this so well. That lady totally tried to have Whitney shitting on Madonna, but leave it to the girls of pop to stick together and fight for one another instead of bashing each other. Total respect for Whitney's response on what is real and what is for the show/audience.
I’ve always loved Whitney, now I adore her even more. She didn’t take the bait and trash Madonna. Those two were back and forth with the records, like most #1’s by a women, ever. Classy response!
I think Whitney made some questionable choices because unlike Madonna, she was controlled by her family. Whitney had a relationship with a woman that was hidden, if not disapproved by her family.
Classy answer from THE VOICE. I effing miss Whitney Houston and her majestic voice. She not only had the voice to hit notes but the POWER and depth to that voice to make it larger than life. They don't make them like her anymore.
It's so crazy to see these interviews with Whitney, MJ, and Madonna. 3 of the biggest stars above all the stars and yet how fame effected them in different ways. I pray something like this doesn't happen anymore to anyone. 3 of the greatest artist that has ever graced music. RIP Whitney & MJ
Whitney was always, always gracious and thoughtful. She never had to knock others to make herself look better because she knew that she was untouchable as far as her talent and worldwide appeal. Her answer here was so eloquent.
That was her final undoing. I'm glad that such legends had (or have had) the vision to not trash each other. Class act on both their parts. RIP Whitney.
What an amazing and classy way to answer that question - she didn't even have to throw Madonna under the bus - she even humanized Madonna and pointed out the imagery of it all, the pretense of it all. Such quick wit!! Miss you Whitney.
To all the Whitney haters always dumpening the comment sections with complaints about her drug problem; If she achieved such success and fame while high as a kite, what's your excuse seeing as you're always sober? Nobody knows your names 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Whitney and Madonna worked very hard and never had anything against each other, as Whitneys best friend was a Lesbian, and she knew Madonna represented all minorities and she respected Madonna for that! And, Madonna always spoke highly of Whitney Houston and her vocal abilities, as Madonna told people upfront she was an entertainer, and not a great vocalist, as she use to be a dancer, model, etc.
Whitney handled that so well...no pandering to the idea of star-bashing...her love for her daughter was what she made the priority in her response. She was the Voice...and a class act who really cared about her family.
Whitney Houston had class and didn't give in to these reporters trying to create drama between two women. Truth be told a big reason why there are so many music rivalries is because of the press starting them.
There is a video of Whitney enjoying Madonna's Superbowl show a few days before she passed...she wasn't a child, she didn't dislike Madonna till the last of her days.
She was avndsjuk on Madonna but she liked her pulp magazines lied that she talked shit about Madonna but here we understand that she actually like madonna Madonna is the largest female singer ever
Respect to Whitney for not falling in the gossip trap. Whitney could shade with the best of them, but knew when to be gracefull about it. Madonna was The Queen of Pop. Whitney was The Voice
wow, i am speechless now, i heard of this interview and back then, they sad that whitney told the the interviewer that she would kill her daughter is she would dress like madonna. All this years even though i loved her voice, i thought she is not a nice person, but whatching this interview and others and reading all this interviews from friends and family changed the picture i have had for whitney! i was shocked when i heard she left us! RIP whitney and thank you for the work you left us behind
I like her comments here. Very respectful to Madonna as a fellow artist, and she's right. She makes a good point about understanding the difference between what's real and what's pure showbiz :)
