It seems to me Sylvia and Robin truly had Whitney's back, and loved her. That was real mean and dirty for the family not to invite her to Whitney's funeral.
That was very mean, after all she did for Whitney. Family, folks, can be something else., sometimes, they can do you, more harm, than a REAL good friend. Jealousy, and they want everything. Like Whitney said once, it's a shame it all boils, down to money , about her dad, and sure others. Whitney to me was the bomb, of a singer, actress, and entertainer. I listen to her a lot now, more than I did when she was here. Don't know why, always, liked her. Her lives, that I been watching, are unbelievable. Wish I had saw her when she came to Chicago. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and multi-talented. If you haven't watch, her sing, "Don't Cry for Me" she , , killed that song. She had on a beautiful, blue , gown, she held a note, so long, all I could say , was , Go head Nippy. She had a hell of a life, only , most people could dream of, but FAME doesn't always , make you happy. She said that , she just wanted to share her gift, all that other stuff, that comes, with it. I lot we can't see, is why, most of them do drugs. So not to excuse, folks, but until, you live that kind of life, sobber, no one should , judge her. I never did drugs, but I try to understand, people, not just criticize, I don't walk in there shoes, to do that. Folks, been raped, and witness abuse, and many , reasons, why it's hard to cope, in the natural. All she did always, traveling and hardly, sitting still, it's a wonder, I think most of them do it, cause of the pressure, put on them. I won't elaborate, but folks, lied, abt, how she died. From someone, an in law of hers, that was very close. They tell us anything, and we go for it, cause it's the media, like they don't , LIE. Anyhow, I love Whitney's music, and sad, what, really happened to her was , super , tragic, and she didn't deserve it. Their a God above, that sees, all tho. That world is to much, they won't let , you, be nice and sweet an Godly, you have to pretty, much be owned, and when you , rebel against, the game, times, up. RIP Whitney, it's all coming , out, you and Bobbi, Kris, to good for this wicked, crazy world. In Robyn's book, she explains how Silvia was with Whitney through the thick and thin. Silvia has pretty much stayed out of the public eye, which says a lot about her loyalty to Whitney and how she's continuing to protect her, just like how she was there for her in her dark times.Thank you Silvia
A number of former employees have said the only people in Whit's inner circle who had her best interest at heart were Robyn and Sylvia. Two good friends are better than ten bad ones...in this case quality is better than quantity.

Lola I do agree with you that anybody that had Whitney’s best interest at heart Cissy had a problem with them. Silvia not being invited to Nippy’s funeral was sad. It’s sad that Silvia was demoted for telling Whitney’s family about her drug addiction. Whitney’s family just wanted the money and control over Whitney. It's sad to say but in my opinion, I do not believe that Whitney would have made it as far as she did in her career, had it NOT been for Robyn's dedication, love, loyalty, & concern for her friend! Robyn was definitely the one who helped get Whitney's career off the ground, and headed in the direction that it did. Yess, her parent's were the one's who directed & instructed her as far as signing her contract for Clive Davis's record company, but Robyn was instrumental with faith & trust in the dream that she and Whitney shared, as it relates to Whitney's singing career, and she did everything in her power to make it successful!
Robyn and Sylvia had her best interest at heart. Her family and bobby pushed them away. It's extremely sad that Sylvia never got to say good to Whitney. That's low of her family but then again I'm surprised at this point. Whitney's parents failed her. Instead of worrying about Robyn and Sylvia speaking, fans should be mad her estate for constantly exploiting Whitney's downfall with her family and "friends" at the front line of all. They loyal ones have shown themselves and it's Robyn and Sylvia.
Loyalty is a double edged sword and when you are loyal to someone its a great thing and Sylvia is the epitome of loyal and she will be blessed and rewarded to see her in heaven
They (Whitney and Bobby) laid off almost everyone that worked with Robyn. In trying to hide her lifestyle from the world Whitney lost her way and the good people around her.
Great video Lola, jealousy is an evil emotion. I feel jealousy surrounded Whitney starting with her own family. I think this is why Whitney's story is even more tragic, she had a couple of people who truly cared for her and they were driven away.
I'm pretty sure it was mainly because Silvia sued Whitney & her company! We never heard how that lawsuit came out....if Silvia was compensated.....or not? Probably has a "gag order" and cannot discuss it.....but she truly deserved to be compensated. All those years of being by Whitney's side, taking care of her....assisting with baths, foot rubs, body massages, meals, and anything else Whitney wanted her to do.....all while being discredited by Whit's family, out of pure jealousy, racism, inconsideration, & evil! That woman stood by Whitney and wanted nothing less than the best for her, another true loyal & dedicated friend and employee! Sadly, Whitney ended up taking both Robyn & Silvia for granted toward the end....she was persuaded by negative, envy, evil people in her circle, which led to her making poor judgement & decisions regarding who Robyn & Silvia was in her life......ultimately losing them both! Such a tragedy! Still love & miss Whitney tho, but I must admit, she contributed to her own downfall after losing those two.....just by allowing others to think & make decisions for her....😔

I think they would have invited her if she didnt leave on bad terms or was still in Whit's life. She sued Whitney and Bobby and they countersued. She prolly saw whitney last in 2003 and had not spoken to her either. Its highly unlikely Whit contacted her.
In the 2000's , Bobby's lawyer told the judge during his child support court case that Bobby did not have a regular income and was financially dependent on Whitney. Despite he and Whitney getting up to no good together, Whit was still able to burn up the charts, sell out shows, offered movie scripts, win numerous awards, and adored by many..etc This must have infuriated him and he lashed out alot creating according to Sylvia a very hostile work environment....but sexually harassing Sylvia, his wife's personal assistant?????.....now that was low and unnecessary.
I won’t put it past Bobby and Whitney placing a gag order in them says a lot about stuff she wanted to hide or keep private, I don’t know but that call Robyn said she got that made her contact her lawyers seemed like an attempt to gag her as well. Whitney went overboard with lawsuits in the 2000’s and it cost her so much money.

Lol I think it was to make sure she got her story straight and they were on the same page. Its true about the lawyers tho, she gag him too, so he couldn't reveal her bisexuality amongst other things in his book or discuss in interviews. Once she died he was free to say whatever.

Yes, like you, I also like Sylvia. You can tell from the photos the love she had for Whitney. Those who halfway do their job, will always call the one doing their job, a flunky, just to throw light off their trifleness. I'll bet none of them rubbed Whitney's feet, like Sylvia did. That's like Jesus's disciple rubbing his feet. Sylvia knew Whitney was a superstar and treated her so. You can tell on some photos where Sylvia head is like leaning on Whitney chest that Sylvia was treating her like she was her big sister, because I remember hugging my big sister like that, when I felt so proud she was my big sister. This was my first time hearing about Sylvia. Thanks for sharing, because I still try to pull up new videos, to me, about Whitney, and Bobbie Kristina, still trying to piece the puzzle pictures together, surrounding their deaths. Whitney was just so unique with an unmatched voice. I think Oprah gave Whitney the best compliment, when she told someone, "when Whitney would sing it would sound like God was speaking ". ✌🏽
As smart as she was, it seems that Whitney was a little naive and trusting to the wrong people. It's unfortunate that her parents failed her and were too busy with their careers to nurture and protect her... but the music industry can be a monster if you get caught up and have no discipline, structure or foundation to retreat to.

Did they care about her or were they more interested in the money she made for them? Whitney wanted to leave the public and live a private life, but the family wanted her to do another album and tour. Right after Whitney died, they immediately did a reality show and started pushing Bobby Kristina in the limelight. That family is toxic!

Interesting and touching focus on Sylvia. I've never met Sylvia and I knew nothing of her until after Whitney's death. I believe you when you say that you think she was a sweet woman and a true friend to Whitney. Some may not like what I'm about to say, but you me, this comes from age and experience...In this world, you don't always get what you deserve or even what you're entitled to. Instead, you get what you negotiate. You get what you settle for and worst case scenario, you get what someone decides to throw your way. And so, nice people will ultimately finish last if they are not careful. I am sorry about the way Sylvia (and Robyn) were treated, but some of the blame has to be placed on them. It has to be. If you are on a job, in a position, etc. if the relationship turns into personal and very friendly (damn near family), that's usually a wonderful occurrence. But sooner or later you must know that jealousy WILL rear its ugly head. When Sylvia saw the way she was being treated by Pat, Donna and even Cissy, she should have made a decision to be more professional and treat her position more like a job and not be at everyone's beck and call. She should have had a sit down with Whitney (perhaps she did, but even Robyn admits that she had constant interference when she tried to talk to Whitney. Which reminds me...I think Whitney knew damn well some of what Robyn wanted to discuss and she didn't want to deal with her family's #BS or face them when she knew they were gunning for Robyn. And I'm glad Robyn left because they were all leeches who had no lives of their own other than sucking damn near the blood out of Nippy's veins. Speaking of not knowing Sylvia, has anyone noticed that when Whitney was alive you rarely saw Pat Houston? Occasionally, you may have seen her walking in the #MF background. but after Whitney's death, she got a complete physical makeover. She served you hair, make-up, designer shoes, Louis Vuitton this and that..#LOL This also reminds me of one of Whitney's publicists, Lynn Volkman, another sweetheart, quietly in Nippy's camp. There was also publicist Kristen Foster, whom I don't know. There are also Whitney's film agents, who were responsible for handling her acting contracts, etc. Who are these people. I understand, they worked a very lucrative deal for Nippy for "The Preacher's Wife," which reportedly caused Nippy to accept the role when she didn't want to do it. She reportedly had to be convinced to do "The Bodyguard" too because she was insecure and afraid of stepping into a new realm of entertainment. Kevin Costner convinced her that he would watch over her..just like...a "bodyguard." Nippy, reportedly, wanted to do "Cinderella" with a younger actress in the lead role and not her. I'm told she also wanted to do "Sparkle." That film was a travesty! I can't think of one good thing to say of it...well actually here's two things...it gave us one last look at Nippy on the silver screen before she passed away and finally, the film was without the awful acting (not to mention singing) of J-Hud. #LOL Isn't that mean?? #LOL
Aunt Bae also participated in intrigues, how interesting. It's some kind of TV show, like The Sopranos. True, these games cost Whitney her health and life and her daughter. Aunt Bae raised Kristina to 8 years old. Whitney's aunt gave very silly advice to tell about her past relationship with Robyn. Bobby is a man who has remained a child. Of course things got worse after that.

A true example of what I said.....Whitney didn't think for herself! What made her think she was supposed to do that, just because Aunt Bae suggested it? Robyn & Whitney's relationship was none of Aunt Bae's business to even bring up, especially while Whit was married. Mannnn, I swear, the people in her inner circle did the most with trying to draw a wedge between her & Bobby....& between her & Robyn. And that's because there was one goal in everyone's mind.......how to get to the $$$. Bobby & Robyn was in the way, period! After they both were gone.....look what happened.....just 5yrs after the divorce.....and after the record company pushed another contract & tour! They wanted their $$$ back that was loaned to her, alledgedly........poor woman was in debt. The album did alright but not enough.....that last tour, not so well.....so the plan went into effect! The Whitney family lost God when Whitney started making big money, especially her "smart" father. Cissy had her bad moments too. And Aunt Bae, she's not a relative, just a family friend. Cissy had 6 older sisters and brothers. They were well-mannered and cultured people, associated with gospel music. Lee Warrick, mother of Dee Dee and Dionne, was the manager and leader of their family group, the Drinkard Singers. By the way, John Houston wanted to manage their group, but Lee refused his offer. She saw through this swindler.

Our early childhood experiences and things that happened than, mold us and manifest throughout our life, habits, choices, self esteem, perception of self and others, our choices in choosing who we form a personal relationship with, our attachment styles, who we surround ourselves with, and many other factors. "This is just my opinion": Although Whitney was confident in her ability as a singer and her gifts, I personally believe she was not confident in other areas and that's what she struggled with. She was fighting between who she really wanted to be, and who other's wanted her to be, and was in fear of being rejected by family if she choose to be who she really wanted to be as in her true self, and in fear of rejection by her fans. She also had old trauma wounds of her past she never got to address. We humanity live within much of our old childhood traumas, projecting it daily upon our significant others, family, friend's and society as a whole, and if we don't begin to look within and start healing it, it's going to run our lives in directions that are not healthy and not only destroy self but other's along the way. To thine self be true is a scary and lonely route to take, to live ones truth, cause fear being outcast, abandoned which leaves fear of physical survival and afraid of not being loved, however not living ones true self is self imprisonment. We long to be a part of our origin of tribe/our immediate blood family, it's part of our DNA, natural human instinct yearning, but if we truly want to feel free, to be our truest self, we'll have to take the jump and walk that journey, cause anything less leads to a miserable life. It's equaling to living a lie, and with time it's a isolating, lonely and sad existence, resorting escaping to addictions and if not addictions, chronic anger, resentment, depression and anxiety, surrounding our lives with those we typically wouldn't choose, being a people pleaser, and pushing people away that are beneficial to us, and much more that's not authentic for our well being. There's much to learn by Whitney's life as a child, daughter, sister, mother, friend, spouse, and than the performer, there's much we learn from each other in this life. We only know pieces of Whitney's personal life and as the celebrity, and some of her struggles, her marriage etc. . . but to really know who she really was, it would have to be known through her own eyes, and that's where the answers lay of why her path led the way it did, and unfortunately and sadly enough she didn't live to tell her truth. "We all struggle upon this journey of life, we each have a different background/story, we each cope differently, some are better at it than others, it's just how they're made, we have human flaws and mistakes, we fall and get up, maybe multiple times, sometimes we learn and sometimes we don't, some may take years to learn, and than there's the ones that have a horrific ending" Whitney is greatly missed and loved. May all her family and friend's find some kind of continued comfort and healing. ❤
Bobby drove away everyone who really cared for Whitney so he could have her messed up to himself. Slivia left after the sexual harassment from Bobby became too much. If Robyn and slivia stayed Whitney would still be alive.

But Eddie Murphy was treating her wrong and left her for somebody else so he saw she was about get married he didn’t want her to get married because he still wanted her around to treat her the same way. And the opera interview in 2009 Whitney said she hit Bobby over the head with the phone. And exactly I agree they was playing on her addiction all them interviews she did high, my opinion was why would they do that????. And she did not care about her self at all nor her daughter to take care of her daughter. It was always her against the world and she just wanted to be herself. Umm, there is a myth that they were shopping around for a husband for her to quell the gay rumours and Eddie didn’t want to be a part of that spectacle, her father asking MC Hammer if he’ll marry her is an indication as well, she chased Bobby while admitting she wanted to have a family as she was getting ‘old’, then told Oprah that those things (a husband and a child) didn’t fulfil her. Whitney was trying to be strong for herself and felt the world judged her too much, and this is why I won’t stop blaming Clive for creating this image that she couldn’t live up to.

Also neither he or Whitney knew Hammer well, but he called them into a room and said I think you should marry my daughter, just like that. Hey Lola- Have you seen the footage of her show in the park after the Diane Sawyer interview? There is a person in a big white coat that appears to be Robyn in the audience. Not sure. I think this person gains a backstage pass at some pt. She at one pt is talking to Cissy at the side of the stage. You can see that WH perks up when she spots whoever it is dancing in the audience. So, basically, the so-called family was jealous. That outsiders had Whitney’s ear and not them themselves because they were too entitled. But this is a case of water being blood and blood being water.
Bobby Brown’s behavior around this woman really says so much about how much Bobby respected Whitney, Whitney taking Sylvia around got the leeches angry, they treated Sylvia wrong Whitney included. Her family saw Whitney do it and carried on that way, Sylvia was close to Robyn so that didn’t go well with them, Sylvia wasn’t in contact with Whitney after she left, a lot of people apparently left after Robyn left. Then the Browns and Pats took over. Whitney was suing everyone around her and slapping everyone with a gag order, Bobby Brown took advantage of Whitney’s drug problem.
Bobby had little to no respect for Whitney at all. Why?..... there was no consequence for his actions. He could do whatever and she would ALWAYS take him back. I dont think she gave him a pass or made him feel like the prize because she was madly in love with him, neither do I think its because she was on drugs, I believe it was because she was scared of being alone. She may have felt it was better to have a trifling man than no man at all.
I believe the reason Whitney chose not to go into details about what she went through with Bobby during the Oprah interview was not because she wanted to protect him but out of shame....just pure embarassment. Unfortunately, her marriage was like a person purchasing a very expensive outfit that is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.. It looked great on the mannequin at Macy's but when the person gets home, its ugly and ill fitting. - Cant return it, cant exchange it, cant even re-sell it for the same price, so just wear it and front like its the bomb.

One thing I always asked myself was that, why didn't all of Whitney's former friends & assistants come back when she divorced Bobby & was planning her comeback by 2006/2007 esp like Silvia & Robyn?
So many people had been tryna get Whit to go to rehab but she either refused, didnt finish the treatment or relapsed. Cissy held a public prayer vigil for her, forced her into rehab with a court order and even threatened to take her child from her. Cece and Pebbles took the religious route by having her stay with them and spend time in prayer, bible study etc...but she went back to the drugs. Its frustrating tryna help someone who is not co-operating. Aint nobody got time for that.
Looks like they were very good, loyal friends to Whitney in the early years of her career. Luckily, she made more good friends that stayed in contact to the end, even if they couldn't help to save her from her addiction and her greedy family.
