@@sharkkeeper01 nah. Most of her family sang gospel music, which had no where near the earning potential or exposure and crossover of pop. She came along at just the right time.

@@colettewalker381In terms of vocal ability, Whitney is top tier. First she had a superior connected range, from her lower register to her head voice it was all well connected. Then there’s other little things that set her apart like her tone and her diction. You always heard her ability to clearly articulate her voice and words. Then there’s Whitney emotive abilities that are part of her being first and foremost a gospel singer. Her family had some amazingly talented singers but none could equal Whitneys greatness.
