This is why I again say people need to stop saying Whitney was a pop diva, she was first and foremost a gospel singer. Whitney was, is and will always be THE VOICE.
@@msawmusic Pop music isn’t from gospel music. It’s 2 different genres of music. RnB is more similar to gospel than pop is. If you did a little bit of research you’d find that a lot of RnB singers all came from a gospel background. Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Elvis Presley, Al Green, James Ingram, Kelly Price…so many more.
The harmony among parents/children/siblings is a whole different ballgame. That performance was outstanding! You were 200% on point about singing families. I used to love watching Toni, Towanda, Trina, Traci and Tamar just start a random song about whatever they were discussing. They did it on the fly...and their harmony was always TIGHT! The Winans harmony? Impeccable.
I love this performance and have watch it OFTEN!!!. It makes me smile. We get to see each of them at their best and Cissy shows her vocal abilities. They blend so well together! Whitney bringing gospel to the Grammys in her own special way. Thank you for doing this one!!! 😊🙏🏽💛
I’m glad you finally reacted to this❤ one of a kind incomparable Whitney Houston. Cissy was a great Vocal teacher, and Gary along with Whitney proves how great she was at it.
Love to see your videos and love this performance of true vocal talent. I really miss your “vocal savage” Christina Aguilera reviews😢 hope to see some soon!
Please review a song and one of the artist that is overlooked. She is so talented with a voice like no other. Roll Me Through the Rushes. Live performance 1978. Please. Thank you.
Gary was in the NBA for a hot minute, but got kicked out because of his drug habit...which forced him to sing backup for Whitney on tour...where he had more access to drugs than in the NBA. All 3 of them waste(d) their vocal talents on drugs (including alcohol and cigarettes)...despite the wonderful counseling of JESUS not to abuse drugs. Just because something is technically legal doesn’t mean that it’s spiritually appropriate. If I went around doing whatever I thought I could get by with, I’d be a slave to my whims. - 1 Corinthians 6:12 (MSG)
@@McWhClcissy was a known chain smoker just as Elvis aretha dionne and so many other singers of back then. Whitney smoked cigarettes from the age of 15 until she passed away
