If you missed the likes of Tiff Needell and WTCC champion Rob Huff sliding around the track in 600bhp Can-Am brutes and powerful Ford GT40s at #GoodwoodRevival, you can watch the full rain-soaked race here!
Great race, so many things happening that you go by these 25 minutes like if they were 25 seconds.. It's just unfortunate that there are never on board cameras and that the comments never stop to let us hear these beautiful engines
Interesting to see the two front cars (Lola T70 ad Lotus 19) are actually a generation apart historically buut with todays' technology quite close in performance with rain as a factor...you might have seen a Lotus 19 trying to get into the field in the early Can-Am but not for long....19's were sent down to regional/SCCA C Modified racing. Great cars though. The last successful open-class Lotus race cars....almost 65 years ago.Guess Colin just didn't have the attention span or resources to try again. Nice to see a lightweight car/engine combination still be a winning one...
Wonderful footage of these races at Goodwood. ...BUT i wish "GOODWOOD RACING COMPANY" would ADD the "Model / Manufacturer and Model year of the car" in their Status Banner... They display the Rank, Drivers name, Car # , and Time differential... There is a LARGE space between the Driver's name and Car # where they could ADD the "Model / Manufacturer and Model year of the car" ! - I am surprised they do not do this! ... I wish they would! ... Someone inform them of this suggestion please?... Thanks again for these wonderful episodes.
@ Thanks... Good to know... I missed that... I find the Goodwood commentators rather inadequate as the race unfolds ... In a group of rather esoteric cars in some of the other races they say "Blue car, black car, No. 51 etc."... It is frustrating to a viewer who wants to know "what is that car"?!
When I first got into this Goodwood business, and watched a few races, I thought, during one particular race, "Gee, she's doing ok", but then the commentator said, in reference to the same driver, "He's doing well", and I wondered what pair of parents would name their son Tiffany? I've just noticed that it's Tif Needell - or something like that - but certainly not Tiffany Dell. Carry on. Nothing to see here.
