How hard can it be.... "The wind blows, you put up your sails and away you go". Follow along as a bunch of novices and their kids bareboat around the Whitsundays.
Great video. I'd definitely recommend buying a gimble but great vid none the less. Great itinerary and well shown off. Looks like you had a blast. Thanks for creating it. Noted your SLV shirt. I may just have to buy one for this trip when i do it too. Looking at chartering next Jan for 8 nights.
Hi there..we are deciding on whether to rent this exact vessel or the seawind 1160 lite..we like that this one has an outdoor lounge area and upper galley, but this vessel is much older than the Seawind. Were you happy with it and would you recommend it over the Seawind? Any input would be helpful..pros/cons etc. Thanks so much!
Hi Sandi. We were certainly happy with the Lagoon 380, even with two families on it. I think both the Lagoon 380 and the Seawind 1160 will have queen master beds which is great but the lagoon has a great window next to the bed to absorb as much as the scenery as possible. The separate mattresses in the Lagoon forward quarter made it a lot easier to manage our two boys sleeping arrangements. The 1160 will probably sail a lot better than the 380, especially it its a later model with newer sails. Up top the Seawinds are more spacious because they only have one dinning table instead of one inside and one outside. While the Lagoon has a galley up which makes it more enjoyable to prepare and clean up after meals. Im sure you will enjoy either of these boats and hope you have a great time sailing the Whitsundays. Although its smaller you can have a look at my video for the Seawind 1000 if that helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NOGQfmq2d-M.html Regards Dave
