what made me a fan of Gaethje was how he's violent as fuck but he doesn't wanna land extra shots on his opponents you can see after Tony was shaking his head he didn't wanna land a power shot anymore when most other fighters would have bulldozed Tony at that moment, that kind of mercy in a brutal moment like that is respectable as hell.
Even more so when he fought Cowboy, he was yelling at the ref and flipped him off at the end when he finally stepped in. Maniac, but a class act all the way.
Whittaker made a good point, people think Chandler and Gaethje are not using their wrestling simply because they don't want to be boring for casual fans, while thats certainly a factor, I don't think thats the only reason, if they use wrestling they get tired quickly and they aren't explosive as they were before as Whittaker says when they are tired, so Chandler can't be explosive striker and an efficient wrestler at the same time, so he chooses to be an explosive striker instead. Wrestling cardio is different than striking cardio. Chandler gets tired very quick after wrestling for 1 round we've seen that vs. Poirier, Chandler used wrestling in round 2, won that round, and he was tired in round 3 and Poirier submitted him because Chandler was tired not because Poirier is a great submission artist that can submit Chandler. While we didn't see Gaethje offensively wrestle before if he used wrestling more he would probably get tired quickly as well.
Have always thought that Bobby Knuckles had sound thoughts and analysis and both him and Volkanovski together makes for meaningful commentary and analysis
i'm equally excited for both but the one before the comain looks like a snorfest, hopefully i'm wrong about that and there are wars throughout the card
These two champs are awesome together! Love hearing them joke and chat about fighting. I think Volk and Bobby Knuckles would make a pretty awesome podcast.
I've wanted this matchup since Fiziev came into the organization- it's gonna be epic as hell Fiziev kind of reminds me of Barboza in the way everything he throws is a significant strike
Rob is the classic case himself of a guy who has at least a reasonable ground game (national level wrestling, BJJ black belt) but prefers to stand and bang. And that was enough to take care of the whole division...until Adesanya came along. Since that first Adesanya fight, Whittaker has gradually incorporated more grappling and ground game into his arsenal. And, because of that, he's a much better rounded fighter than he ever was. It's pretty helpful if your opponent at least has some fear that you might shoot on him and therefore exhibits some caution.
Love Justin or not you must agree that he is the most violent fighter to ever step inside the octagon both Dustin and Eddie couldn't even walk after winning against him shows how violent he is and not to mention him breaking Tony and Brutalising Chandler even made Charles bled eventhough he got submitted by him in the first round Khabib is the only man to never bled when fighting Justin i really don't know who wins this fight but this would be a war 💯🔥
As y'all can see in my profile picturr my fav fighter is Gaethje but I see Fiziev just countering him all night, he's just technical version of Gaethje in my opinion.
Whoever can takes a punch better wins. I'm going with Gaethje on that regard but that's if the hard punches he has taken in previous fights have not weaken his chin. Someone is surely getting dropped this fight and possibly finished
Watching how Tony took all those punches and quit by shaking his head and not defending smartly. Tony is not the same fighter anymore after that. I pity the ref let this fight go this long just because Tony was so tough !! Same goes to cornerman, they really should have throw the white towel in.. you destroyed my favourite fighter Tony.. I blame that wire too that trip Tony. His 2 weight cuts in a row and then fights Justin.. bad ref, took a lot of damage
@@DotaHelm Tony is to blame ultimately, because his corner fears him. He doesn't really have coaches like other guys, he's too strong willed. They are all 'advisors' more than an authoritative figure that feel empowered to step in to protect him.
If Chandler didn't screw around so much in his UFC fights, he could be on a win streak. Chandler thinks showing off is how to please the fans when in reality we just want him to win. So far, in his UFC run, he's failed me as a long time fan of his.
Rafa hasn't fought anyone one ranked yet , it will be a shock for him to fight a real brawler who has fought only great champions now at the tail end of his career who should have been champion long ago but for twists in fate
8am? Make sure you.. MAKE SURE YOU SET YOUR ALARMS?! EVERY SINGLE CARD THE U.K. WATCHES OUTSIDE OF THE ACTUAL U.K. IS 3am!! You will find no sympathy here! 🤣🤣🤣
@@zacknight9137 🤣🤣 I used to do that but I got to a point where I just felt so groggy. Now I put my phone on do not disturb, wake up around 7ish and get on the BT Sport app and watch it from the beginning before going online 🤣
@@Youafool500 the walkout was shite and the fight didn't last long. So ya didn't miss much. I hope you watched the Rakhmanov fight though that was a banger.
Hope Justin uses his wrestling. Please Trevor protect another wrestler from being deluded enough to stand with a striking expert this isn't about you. Let him shoot bro
Justin's wrestling is non-existent. He gasses far too quick and that's why it's not in his repertoire anymore. The moment he's in those exchanges he gets tired quick. See Khabib fight and to a lesser extent Charles. Offensive wrestling is not an option for this guy anymore.
@@skindred1888 He doesn't necessarily have to use it like that, he's great at sprawling and he gets dominant positions from that alone, he just doesn't use those to maybe deal more damage, Chandler fight for example
@@99TJS1 he just needs timing on his takedowns. Easier said than done. But for a guy like fiziev if timed he won't need to mess around in the clinch straight shoot n dump. All he needs is one good takedown for fiziev to be cautious of takedown and leave him open for a few strikes. Fiziev is a life long striker. Justin's striking is not on his level not being rude about it but it's facts. Too many wrestlers completely forget their wrestling especially when it's most needed
@@russellpeacock you can say that about anyone. It add another dimension to the fight and gives fiziev something to look out for which in turn will give Justin openings for his strikes. This is nothing new. It's just the added benefits of a wrestler that's why many get knockouts because their opponent was watching for the shoot
I think the spiritual energy of the JUST BLEED guy summoned these two demons into UFC existence just for this fight !!!!! Saturday night boys ! Send the women to the kitchen to grab us a beer and have her maybe throw on something skimpy because we got a fight on our hands here ! WOOOOWEEEE
