As someone whose played the game since 2004 off and on for long stretches competitively, the best advice i can give is that there really is no shortcut. You have to play a lot, understanding and personal advancement comes in spurts. You gotta learn how to learn the game, which sounds weird but its true. Being good cant be taught until you learn how to understand and apply THE THINGS that people are saying. Eventually your brain will start to piece stuff together in a meaningful way and you'll un-plateau from your current level.
