Also eventually when you become good friends with Evelyn she'll give you an indoor pot for you to grow any kind of plant during any season! She also gives you the crafting recipe for it as well!

Pam loves parsnips a lot, so she's extra easy and cheap to befriend. Summer spangle is easy to grow for Caroline. Tulip for Evelyn. Hot pepper is for Shane or Lewis. Mead is best for Willy. You want him because he sends you recipe for escargot, which helps fishing skill.

It's great to see that you're still going strong with the Pam jokes.

To be honest, I like to become friends with any random villagers because I really like the cutscenes all these villagers have, especially Shane's... it's so heartwarming.

If you give them a loved gift that is iridium quality it gives like FOUR hearts!! The higher the quality the higher the bonus on top of the "loved" bonus. One of the best early game gifts to give people is parsnips. Lots of people like them and you are going to be growing lots of them most likely anyway. Lewis (the mayor) loves peppers so does Shane so they are another good growable item to gift.

let me get this straight, You go to the desert, to befriend Sandy, so you can get desert stuff without going to the desert, even though you've already went there?

Also, after Caroline’s 2 heart event, she will send You the recipie for tea saplings. Tea saplings are very good money early game, as they sell for 500 gold and they only take 2 wild seeds(any season) 30ish wood and some fiber.

The farming buffs from food can actually be pretty useful right before a harvest, since it increases your chance of getting a higher quality crop. If you're selling the crops directly or at least not processing all of it into artisan goods, it can result in a pretty big increase in profit for a harvest of a significant size.

I always befriend Kent because he sends me explosives in the mail. Not because I like bombs, but because only a true friend would commit federal crimes for you.

Amethyst is also liked by almost everyone and it is easy to get from mines. I used one of my crystalariums to produce it and always have amethyst in my inventory. It makes making friends so much easier.

You forgot to mention that Sandy will occassionally give out Milk to friends who talk to her. Of course, you have to be in the desert to talk to her, so it's not really worth it to go there daily, but if you're there to buy seeds then just speaking to her is enough for her to just give you Milk.
