am i the only one that hates how every driver is talked about outside of Theo Pourchair? he won it with 18 year over 3 years younger then Piastri and was head to head with him in F3 while being over 4 years younger. but somehow everybody gets picked before him wtf

It took him 3 years to win it. That's not ideal. Also, he's been test/reserve for Sauber for a while now. If he was really that good, they would have brought him in already. Adding to that he went to Indycar and didn't really do much there. My guess is he probably is good but not lighting it up in an F1 car hence why hes just floating around but not getting any opportunities.

The writing is on the wall, Checo is staying. They stuck with him during his worst and now that he has been vindicated regarding the car development, he ain’t leaving. Atleast until couple of 2025 races.

Daniel is definitely done. However, there is a small chance if Perez keeps failing hard and Lawson doesn't do any good, Ricciardo might have to come in as Max's team-mate. Horner just confirmed that on the F1 podcast. I don't wish bad on anyone, but fuck I would love to see Danny Ric in the RBR even if it was just for one race. I have no doubt he would perform better in the RBR, rather than the RB, just simply because of the fact it suits his driving style more, and he will be highly motivated racing for wins and podiums again. I think he suffers a bit from the fact he's only fighting for P10's in the RB.

Picking Colapinto over a junior driver who did better than him at every level because he's "proven it" in F1 is the reason why Nyck De Vries got signed for AT...

Perhaps, but Nyck only did it in one race in Monza. Colapinto has excelled in all 3 of his apperances so far, and has more to come.

Yea one off from nyck at the easiest track they jumped the gun with de vries, colapinto performed at two of the toughest tracks on the calendar nd is matching albon, nyck was up against latifi who was shit, in that one race. But theres more races to go to judge how good colapinto is so well see

Lawson did not do better than Colapinto in F3 (11°&5° for Lawson vs 9°&4° for Franco), but Liam did great in his 2nd season in F2 (3rd) but Franco never did a F2 full season In F1, Franco did just a tiny bit better than Lawson in his 3 first races (12, 8, 11 for Franco vs 13, 11, 9 for Lawson), but it is very close I think is gonna be great to see them both racing this last part of the season and proove themselves in the racetrack

Is Colapinto as good as people are saying OR is he just highlighting how mid so many of the current F1 grid are? We 100% don't have the best 20 drivers in the world on the grid, I doubt even 10 of them

You talk about how a team mate for Max should be around 2-3 tenths behind but realistically it’s more like 5-6 because Max is just that good. I’m not some crazy Max fan, I’m just being realistic based on what we’ve seen these past few years. He’s in a league of his own when it comes to driving talent.

Two things I absolutely agree with: 1) Max won't be at Red Bull in 2026. 2) Hadjar won't make it into a Red Bull F1 seat. Not sure what becomes of Red Bull in 2026 if that engine program is awful...

I'm surprised by this Perez to Racing Bulls narrative. I'm sure that in 2022 or 23 when rumours spread of him leaving Horner said there was no clause in Checo's contract to go to Racing Bulls if he under performs

If Liam does'nt bottle it I would do the same as you. Liam into the Red Bull and Franco into the RB. And then evaluate for 2026 (the important year). Maybe even ask Oscar about his plans for 2026. He could be the next dominator and IF Max leaves they need him. George will not do imho.

Personally I reckon a Liam/Checo switch wouldn't be made until summer break next year. I think they'd like to see Arvid Linblad do some F2 first. I can see Liam to Red Bull and Arvid to vcarb over summer...
