There's an issue: Dimash makes the difference and (sorry to say that) no one can compete to his, vocal skills, technique, performances, humanity, apparence, humbleness..... Discovering him 3 years ago has been one of the most beautiful things 😍 that really fulfilled, me both emotionally and artistically.

Dimash said that a professor at university gave him a B on an assignment and he thought that couldn't be right so he talked him, but yes, it's a B - so I worked harder and studied harder .... he never gave me anything more than a B - when I graduated and got my report card, he said there were nothing but A's - but I thank him for that little tidbit, it made me work even harder. He's been an honors' student throughout his schooling-don't forget that he has his degree in Opera, his Master's in Composition and is working on his doctoral thesis in Musicology, soon to be professor ~he himself could certainly refute the comments made by James . There is however, one annoyance about Dimash - his hair is ALWAYS PERFECT~

There are heaps of incompetent people who improvise as savvy experts on various subjects....human stupidity is fathomless. Have you noticed William, every Dimash live performance is never exactly the same, always perfect but with beautiful and different nuances. Dimash is a very gifted, humble human being. He said in his Indian interview: the exceptional vocal range is a bonus, what matters is the message of the song. And we both know what Dimash is capable of delivering!! Much love William 💖

Thank you again for your reaction 🙏🏼 Dimash NEVER criticises another musician or vocalist but instead he encourages and supports them and often gives them unprecedented opportunities. Enough said 😂

I've noticed that all the people who criticise him are usually failed or mediocre singers themselves so it has to come from a place of envy. Dimash knows exactly what he's doing, he's had the best teachers and has mentioned in interviews that he will carry on working with vocal coaches for the rest of his life as Pavarotti used to do. His teachers and even his parents still have beautiful voices to this day so they will have taught him exactly how to preserve his voice. On top of that he usually sticks to a strict vocal regimen and protects his voice as much as humanly possible. Every vocal coach with a real background in music like yourself and Tara Simon have said that he has perfect technique and I know who I choose to believe. Every concert is incredibly well thought out so that he doesn't have extended periods of high pressure songs. He will start with high energy but low strain songs and then move into a couple of the more demanding ones, then he'll move into low strain but quietly beautiful songs like Give Me Love and Autumn Strong and then back again for a few more of the more vocally demanding ones. As for saying his fans are guilty of demanding these high performance songs from him, nothing could be further from the truth. If you are a true Dimash fan then you appreciate the beauty of his voice in songs like Couldn't Leave and Restart My Love or Moonlight Mama just as much as you do anything else. In fact the only people I have seen not appreciate the quieter songs are reactors who are only using him for the shock factor to draw in more subscribers.

I’ve seen this recording many times, and never understood why there are no reactions to it. He is so in his element in this one. No worries going through his mind, completely immersed into the performance and what comes out of his mouth is absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for the reaction!

Dimash is So different from other singers that a lot of people don't know what to make of him, someone called him a freak. Music is an art form so not everyone is going to enjoy listening to him, or anyone else for that matter. There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism, however because nobody else does what Dimash can do it's a very difficult task. For every critic of him, he has a hundred fans, that's why he can fill stadiums all around the world. One very experienced professional vocal coach said, "In my entire career Dimash is the only singer I've ever heard, who has absolutely everything." It's not just his voice which sounds so amazing throughout his entire 7 octave range. It's also his diversity both in language and musical style that many people find so mind-blowing. 😃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍

William, thank you for this reaction and for putting that guy in his place. I've seen many vocal coaches' reactions to various Dimash videos and they laud and acknowledge Dimash's incredible vocal technique. Just your words "relaxed jaw" refuted James Burton's "straining". The only time I feel Dimash used anything close to possibly damaging his vocal cords was when he used vocal distortion in The Story of One Sky and, even then, he used that effectively. He used the vocal distortion to convey how much we need peace, how passionate he is about choosing life.

Dimash has excellent technique and he takes care of his voice; even more so as he gets older. Still, he has said that he will not sing at this caliber forever(obviously) and he wants to be able to move into the audience with honor one day. While that day is not likely to come in my lifetime, and I am happy about that, I know his drive to share wisdom, empathy, and passion will persist in whatever creative form he chooses, as long as he lives.

We live in a new world of 60-second sound bytes of criticism. They do it because they can and because they don't really want you to see how naked they are when you look too closely. I think back on what drove me to the world of music as well as my choice to walk away. Music Incorporated destroyed the art of musical creation and they will do anything to hold their captive bird. They can't hold Dimash nor will they ever be able to. For this purpose, Dimash was born into the body of a beautiful Soprano mother who sang to him in her womb and he heard. His father is a sophisticated modern culturalist, that's why Dimash expanded his view of musical style, unrestricted. He is also steeped in deep cultural roots with an unmatched love for humanity that his grandparents bestowed upon him. The gift that keeps on giving.

When I first encountered Dimash in 2017, I wasn't quite sure what to make of him... all I knew was that here was someone whose singing, whose performances I'd never encountered before. I'm not a music expert but I AM that most precious of commodities... a discerning listener. I know what I like and hang what others say. Having said that, I was viewing videos and reading comments on RU-vid and quite a lot were disheartening. Some even called him a karaoke singer. But I thought to myself... I'd listened to so much music of all sorts of genres over decades, liking, disliking, so on, so forth. Dimash's music was so obviously literally from another dimension! These people were so zealous in knocking him that I actually wondered what was wrong with them. Didn't they have other things to do in their lives? Like maybe listening to music they liked? But these people were going from one Dimash video to another. It was mind-boggling... the level of hate. Well, I wasn't about to waste my time with them. I knew what my eyes and ears and goosebumps were experiencing. So I left RU-vid comments sections and immersed myself in the beauty of Dimash. But once in a while, a friend tells me come, you should watch this video and hear what they say. And that's how I'm here, commenting on your video. Thank you for poking weirdos in the eye. They really should find something else to do. Subscribed!

Dear Mr Bangkok Vocal Coatch, Thank you for your reaction to Dimash's performance. Yes, the sound quality is extremely good for a fan video and I love this song and regret a bit that Dimash doesn't seem to sing it anymore at his concerts. On the other hand, he has put out a lot of great work of his own in recent years, so I don't really need to complain 🥲... I can't really understand Mr Burton's comments, but I have to say that I had very little musical education in my life and therefore I can't give a well-founded reply from a musicological but also from a medical point of view. Yes, there are probably a few RU-vidrs on the net who simply jump on the Dimash bandwagon, praise him to the skies just to push the subscriber and view numbers of their channels. On the other hand, because Dimash is "independent", he doesn't have many opportunities to be heard for a large part of the world outside of RU-vid. He can't be pigeonholed stylistically and I admire him for not wanting to sacrifice his artistic freedom for quick fame (which may never come, if he cooses this way and sells his soul to a big label). I am convinced that Dimash knows what he is doing, also from a (vocal-)health point of view. And so there is nothing left for me to do but shrug my shoulders at Mr Burton's comments. Okay, I disagree with him, but that's HIS opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️... Some things I don't have to understand, sometimes it's enough to wonder about them. Lots of love from Switzerland 🤗🇨🇭

I love your sincere reactions William. Always looking foreward to it. I think we can trust and relay on Dimash himself concerning the use of his voice after training it for 23 years. He still works with great vocal teachers to fully mastering his voice. Hola, yo no sé mucho de música, pero si te puedo decir que no oigo a cualquier cantante no cualquier tipo de música, me considero exigente en ese sentido y sabes, cuando escuché a Dimash por primera vez fue un engancharme jamás me había pasado ... esa necesidad de oírlo todos los días desde hace más de dos años, para mí el mejor cantante, en TODO. Dimash will be around forever because he will go down in history known as the king of vocals. He will be someone that has raised the bar of singers and he’s a masterclass. He’s only 28. He hasn’t hit his prime yet.

I've heard a handful of people who criticize Dimash and is only based on their own insecurities and inadequacies. I always look for their background in music and I always find their credentials to be anything that would qualify them as "experts". When people feel intimidated their only resource is to criticize. Don't waste energy and valuable time addressing them. Thank you for all you do in your reactions to Dimash's videos. I particularly enjoy the nuggets of historical music information. I'm grateful for people like you in this world!

As for, the hater (can't even remember his name), does he even know how many years Dimash has studied & worked at his techniques & that he still sees his voice coach? I'm sure Dimash would not do anything that would put his voice at risk. He loves music, he is music & never takes his vocal training for granted. I have literally just watched thus reaction & couldn't remember that guys name, but I will never forget Dimash's name & all of his brilliant songs & performances. That speaks volumes I think 🤔 😊🥰

I don t know what technics Dimash uses when singing or Rembrandt used when painting or Shakespeare when writing. I just know they are all genius. And i don t know what others think when hearing Dimash. I just mostly always think about how i wish to hear him life one day.

I’ve encountered a few individuals who believe they are “better” than Dimash or criticize his style or form, but I tend to cast most of these comments to “professional “ jealousy…. Not to say that they are professional- a true professional would see opportunity for growth and learning instead of resorting to back room tactics such as criticizing others despite their own shortcomings. What I respect most about Dimash - besides his innate talent and training- is his humility and willingness to continue learning and improving his craft. The die-hard part of my being a dear wants to go to this ignorant person’s channel and critique his work, but I won’t. It isn’t worth it and would only serve to give unwarranted views to an undeserving person. I would rather epitomize the humble and gracious Dimash by ignoring the criticism. I know wholeheartedly that not everyone shares the same tastes in music, but to deny Dimash’s skills is just ignorant. Respect. We all need to show respect to one another. Cheers from Canada!

I’m definitely no expert, but I know a thing or two about vocal techniques and it always baffles me when some so-called professionals criticize Dimash’s techniques. What are their true credentials? Besides, I quote, “Dimash has a Master’s in vocals. In 2014, he graduated in Classical Music with a Major in Vocal (Bel Canto) from the music institute of K. Zhubanov University in Aktobe [] began his studies in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana, where he graduated with a Major in Vocal on 27 June 2018. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score, and receiving a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music.” As a matter of fact, he’s currently pursuing his doctoral studies in musicology… So much for a singer with “poor vocal techniques”! My point is that Dimash is himself a scholar in music… Jeez… Bottom line, Dimash knows what he’s doing, that’s all there is to it. Furthermore, the haters have been saying for over 5 years now that Dimash is going to loose his voice. Not only has it not happened yet, but his voice has even gotten stronger, richer, go figure! Yes, I’m upset because Dimash doesn’t deserve any of this. Thank you so much William for making that video: you have no idea how meaningful it is to all of us, Dears. I admire Dimash both as an incredible artist and a wonderful human being, but I’ve never put him on a pedestal. So, when some people (including James Burton) think that the Dears blindly worship Dimash, it’s rather laughable. But, yet again, a few may, but this generality (or belief) is downright erroneous. I remember a conversation in which Dimash was asked how he feels about the reactors and others who are critical of his voice or a performance. He respectfully said that the people who know music; who are singers; who are vocal coaches -- they are the ones he listens to with a view to becoming better. The ones who do not know music/singing? He said he pays no attention to them. He recently said that he does not watch RU-vid as much as he used to because of lack of time. I'll bet that you, William, would be one that Dimash watches!

Bonjour,depuis 2017,j'en ai vu passé des réacteurs, au début ils étaient souvent très sincères et étaient époustouflés par ce qu'ils entendaient.Bien sûr, déjà quelques haineux qui disaient que Dimash faisait du play-back, mais cela n'a pas duré lol. Et au fur et à mesure, certains réacteurs profitaient de Dimash pour lancer leur chaîne.Cela se voit très vite quand ils sont sincères, comme vous par exemple. Mais le principal ,c'est que de plus en plus de personnes le découvrent par le biais de tous ces réacteurs . Dimash est unique dans tous les sens du terme.Et tout l'amour qu'il reçoit de ses Dears ,il nous le redonne au centuple avec ses magnifiques chansons. Я вообще не профессионал в вокале, но даже мне понятно, что у него отличная техника, которую он виртуозно использует для интерпретации материала, сохранения звучания голоса на протяжении всего концерта, воздействия на зрителя и т.д. Многие отмечают прекрасное состояние его связок, которое сохраняется благодаря использованию приёмов и техник российской оперной школы, основанной на классической итальянской, уникальной народной казахской школы и китайской, в которой соединился многовековой и многонациональный опыт культуры вокала. Он не раз говорил, что в Китае у него есть педагог по вокалу. Димаш - интеллектуал от музыки, его сложные и красивые вокальные загадки одно наслаждение не только слушать, но и разгадывать. Imagine thinking you know more than Dimash who is a literal DOCTOR of music, and all of his highly trained vocal coaches and his parents who are also singers. 🙄Dimash knows full well what hurts his voice and what doesn't and honestly if he wants to risk his voice to make beautiful, one of kind, once in a lifetime, art while he can then that's what he's going to do and I find that highly respectable. 1. I don`t see anything forced in any of his notes. 2. His singing is very clean. 3. He is the first singer on the entire planet that has triggered my mirror neurons that are responsible for singing. I never sang in my life. Listening to him and watching him sing has worked my mirror neurons so much that I just needed to start letting singing come out. I now own a microphone, speakers, mixing board etc. My only explanation is that his perfect technique, his clean singing rooted in classical, his healthy singing, is what triggered my mirror neurons. P.S. I am a doctor. Also, I don`t see Dimash through the lens of an in love teenager. I do though have very high esteem for him as a singer, artist, and human being. P.P.S. What some might not be aware of about Dimash, is that he is extremely comfortable in the high range, in "head voice". When he is sick for example, his head voice notes don`t suffer and take the least effort out of him. His breathy notes get shorter, his mix can get shorter too, he might adjust his vibrato, but his high head notes are great. Examples : 1. he was supposed to give a performance in China at some point, but got very sick, to the point of "coughing blood". The chinese organizers of the event gave him a "free pass" to use playback. He refused, and came on stage to greet the fans who had been waiting for a long time to see him again, to excuse himself for not being able to deliver a performance, and, for them to still hear his voice a bit, he sang a piece of a song. His speaking voice was ragged. "Daybreak" on The Singer - he had lost his voice the morning of the performance - he adjusted his technique, and delivered a flawless performance, (albeit different than what he was able to do healthy at Bastau) - he cut shorter some breathy segments, he didn`t go as low as he normally could, but, his high range suffered the least. So, my opinion is that his high range is not an area where he has to "force air" and "kill his cords, or resonance, with time" His high range is the one where he frequently goes to have fun when he is killing some time. And he didn`t have to "break a barrier" to achieve that range, and now "stay in a dangerous territory", with a "faulty technique". He was a natural in soprano territory his entire singing life. There`s footage of Dimash as a teen singing E6s. What time and age brought him, was a fuller low range. And what practice most visibly brought him, was a perfect, stable mix. The only thing that wasn`t absolute perfect quality at a younger age, was his high mixed voice, it got a bit scratchy at a certain point on the scale. In 2015. Two years later, 2017, his high mix was gorgeous. It might harm the vocal cords, who are moved by that "forced air", with "bad technique". But resonance ? That`s relying a lot on bone/cartilage structures. Is Dimash going to change the shape of his hard palate with that "wrongly forced air" ? I kinda doubt that a real singing teacher would say that. Anyway. What do I know. Like I said, I never sang in my life, and never knew where "singing muscles" are. I`m just a doctor who, because of Dimash`s "imperfect technique", now owns microphone and sound gear and feels compelled to sing, and because of Dimash, I "started to know" where "singing muscles" are before I bought the microphone. And one very last note : the vast majority of Dimash`s fans love all of his range, and the low range songs just as much as the high or full range songs. Dimash has far more musical education than that James Burton. Dimash was actually trained the same way a professional opera singer is. Dimash has multiple university degrees in music: he has a Major in Bel Canto from K. Zhubanov University in Aktobe, and also a major in pop/jazz from Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana. He also has a masters degree in Composition. He is far more educated and trained and has far more technical knowledge than that James Burton guy.

I grew up listening to all sorts of music, and also know that most popular music will come and go like the fashion trend. Yes, I have seen those reactors who questioned and criticize Dimash's singing abilities as they simply can't believe that it's possible and that he must be cheating somewhere, like lip syncing, or they are simply jealous, because they could never measure up to Dimash's level. For all the Dears who had been to his live concerts will know that he really actually sings for 3 hours. Like the saying goes, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything. Especially for Dimash's Dears, we like to promote positivity. Sure, everyone is entitle to their own opinion. We have more than enough negativities out in the world today, who needs to hear it from reactors who has nothing good to say about Dimash? I certainly won't care to hear it.

I think it's an insult for anyone to suggest he is not singing in a healty way. With all the years he has put into studying under Masters and now doing his doctorate, he knows what he is doing. I am just thankful I live in his time to experience this phenomenon called DIMASH!
