Honestly i find Deathslinger pretty nerve-wracking to go against. There is definitely some fear involved in being forced to stare right at the killer as you frantically search for something to break the chain on before he hits you. That "being moved towards danger against your will" is also a type of scary situation that is so far entirely unique to Deathslinger.
The “Scariest” Killer to face imo is Meyers, and it’s because it seems like he always sneaks up on me & I don’t realize it’s him until I lose a health state 😅
@@dankmemes7796 Ghostface isn’t nearly as scary imo because you know it’s him the instant he exposes you. Myers just “appears” and heaven forbid he has either of his iri add ons
That's why I struggled with where to place him. To me he's usually more nerve-racking, but then can sneak up on you out of nowhere and scare the💩out of you.
if you've ever played against a VERY good huntress you'll also know how scary it is knowing you can be hit from basically anywhere, had so many moments where a hatchet literally gives me a haircut and directly hits my camera and it's definitely one of the scarier experiences in the game, especially when you think you're safe because she's chasing someone else.
Very true, I can't say I've faced one like that tbh so that may be why I wasn't thinking in those terms. I also wasn't trying to base it on builds as much as their character more generally, if that makes sense?
She definitely has the jump scare factor for sure. I don't find her overall terrifying, but I agree there's not much in the game that can jump scare you like she can.
I would put plague up a tier because when you hear the notification that she’s got her power up, I immediately look for a fountain to cleanse at or big rocks to hide behind
I imagine that could be nerve racking. Honestly, I've only ever faced 2 Plagues from the Survivor side, one was when I first started playing and had no idea what was going on, the other DC'd 30 seconds into the match. It could also be I'm less affected by that sound being a Plague main 🤷♂️
One of my favorite things to do as Killer is if I wanna fool around and make my session scary, I bring mostly oblivious and undetectable based perks. I LOVE playing as dredge while bringing insidious and a black mist offering. I hide in lockers throughout the trial and wait for someone to pass by. Insidious turns off my terror radius and the black mist offering makes it harder for them to know I'm in the locker. Once a survivor is in front jump out and begin chase. I have gotten several messages saying I made them drop their controllers from such a jumpscare
I would make a case for Spirit to be Brown Pants if said Spirit runs a Furin build. Not being able to rely on the sound cues, only that you KNOW she phased, just not WHERE. I actually played against a streamer when I ran Furin as Spirit cause it was something I wanted to try, and she was quite spooked and shook after I ambushed her the first time. She got incredibly wary afterwards. Had a good chat about it after the game. :)
Ghostface should be on top of everything. He's definitly the creepiest killer in the game to go against. I would've lowered pig and put ghostface instead
That's fair, I think different things affect people differently. For me he's more jump scary, whereas others create more of an atmospheric creepiness for me, which, for me, is more scary overall.
Not a bad idea. But since I don't like reusing other people's content, I'd have to prestige them all first, which I'm not even close to doing. I'll keep it in mind for when I reach that point though!
The most scary killer to me is tombstone myers, because the stakes are much higher and my heart beats during the chase fearing that it is game over without me being hooked... >< I find the Judith one more fun to play against :>
I can agree with this. I was trying to stick to just the Killer's base design as much as possible, not any particular build, but yeah, that one is intense.
From my limited knowledge on playing survivor and totally not biased as a Huntress main, Huntress is absolutely terrifying, her ranged attacks combined with thst lullaby, I hate it, but in a good way because its a horror game Most horror games dont scare me anymore, I'm desensitized I guess but that damn lullaby always puts me on edge, but when I play her, the lullaby is awesome, almost like a theme song or something because it hypes me up when I play her, kinda weird how one song gives 2 completely different feelings depending on context I went on a bit of a mini rant here lol i wanted to mention a few others I like but this comment is long enough
Her lullaby definitely creates a very creepy atmosphere which is why I love it so much. I know a lot of people say her hatchets out of nowhere are terrifying (which I'd agree) but for me it's far more about the atmosphere she creates than the jumpscares her hatches cause.
@@theARoberts I'm glad you agree, even if I did own any killers outside of the free ones, id probably still main Huntress just to terrify people with the lullaby, and her power is really fun too
While I completely get the reasoning behind your placement of Oni. I feel like if you were to face my tinkerer Oni build it would go from nerve racking to brown pants easily. An Oni in blood fury with that perk active is worse than any myers lol
I bet! I was trying not to just base it around situational things or particular builds, but more the base of the Killer's design. But yeah, that sounds terrifying
Although merchant has an uncanny ability to stall games and can play a very boring 3 gens playstyle i dont think its how her overall players play her and i hate that its how she is seen. It's like how not every doctor is a skillcheck doctor or every sadoko is a condemned sadoko or every twins slugs and those killers arent seem in a super negative light because of it. I dont think skull merchant is scary but i do think she can leave you a bit unnerving when your on smaller maps and she has multiple drones up and she just pops up out of nowhere because she was undetectable
I had been playing Skull Merchant as a kind of stealth killer, and I don't think people had too many issues facing it when they care to see the game through. Least end game chat was civil those times
That's a solid point. I think you are right that several Killers get a bad wrap for a particular playstyle that isn't even the majority. I think negative experiences in this game seem to trump positive ones for a lot of people.
I don’t find trapper too nerve wracking at all I find trapper games kinda boring I prefer more active killers like The Hag at least better with her set up because she can teleport to her traps and how creepy looking she is but Trapper just watch him put down traps is eh but that’s just me and I love scaring survivors with lethal pursuer Ghostface stealth and immediately down them from nowhere or grab them off a gen and hear it explode is funny
I dont think the creepiest thing about Huntress is the lullaby, i think its the fact that sometimes you get that one hatchet fly a little too close to your head,
Im a dbd veteran, ive been playing since 2016. Any stealth killer or stealth build makes me piss myself, wanna know why? You arent expecting a stealth killer, so you listen closely for that terror radius... Leaving you wide open for a jumpscare.
Dredge always Freaks me out. Ttickster doesn't really "Scare" me, but his terror radius and chases keep me very tense. (P.S i wish Bhvr would release a full trickster concert in his trailer's anime style, i wanna know what a full performance from him would actually look like.)
@@theARoberts You said you hate going against Doctor. People who say that have a hard time hitting skill checks lol. Also a few minutes later you said something along the lines of "I am a noob" haha
Huntress cross map hatchets out of nowhere can scare the absolute bejesus out of someone lol I have had people tell me when I hit them (and it is very rare for me to hit them across the map)
