Since Dreamcatcher is not very popular in Korea, Dreamcatcher has been on a survival show before. But they came out in the middle of a survival show. Siyeon's competition in the video is a solo song contest. There was no departure or change of members in Dreamcatcher, except for the addition of 2 members in the process of re-debuting.

All of them are into gaming. Siyeon and Yoohyeon were pretty regular at their pc bang before Siyeon got swamped. They do gaming streams sometimes, Gahyeon and Yoohyeon have done them, SuA, Siyeon and Dami seem to stick to mobile games for now. Three members have tattoos, Siyeon has 3, a pretty big one that starts at her shoulder blade wraps around her ribs and ends at the armpit, a treble chef at the shoulder and her solo's lyics on the back of her neck, Yoohyeon has 2, a tiny bird and liberty on her rib cage and a tiny clover on her arm, Dami has 2, a butterfly on her elbow and a crescent moon covered in vines on her shoulder blade. This video does a pretty good job of showing off their range but Siyeon actually has extremely powerful vocals and I recommend her and Dami's ost shadow and her cover of overdose. They are also extremely funny people and just really chaotic. I recommend Tokki's videos, a very underrated channel but genuinely hilarious comps for whenever you need a good laugh.

Pronunciation Guide: Its easy when you remember two things: Si is pronounced "she", and all the vowels in their names are ee, oo, or ah (except the "doe" in Handong). JiU jee-yoo, SuA soo-ah, Siyeon she-yawn, Handong hahn-dong, Yoohyeon yoo-hyawn, Dami dah-me, Gahyeon gah-hyawn. Pronunciation 102: The sounds we write as D, G, J, and S are softer than in English, when they say Dami's name it almost sounds like Tahmi but not quite. A hard, bursty D and G or strong snake-like S are actually different letters in Korean (written as dd, gg, ss, etc.) that change the meanings of words. Soft-D "Dong" is Handong's name, bursty-DD "DDong" means poop. 103: All native speakers of every language get lazy and mush sounds together, so relax your mouth and try your best to not over pronounce every sound one by one as you get through words. It'll get easier. Bonus for pabos: Pabo 바보 roughly means fool/dummy, usually in a friendly-ish way. But notice I spelled it with a P and B but the Hangul uses the same letter in both places, ever wonder about that? Same thing as 102 above, the beginning of the word is extra soft but the second ㅂ in the middle is regular strength. English-speaking ears hear two different letters but native speakers just hear ㅂ. But not a hard, bursty ㅃ because that is a different letter altogether.

If you want to become an Idol in South Korea you go around to the various Kpop agencies and audition, usually at the the age of 14 or 15, sometimes younger. If they accept you then you become a trainee, live in company housing and enter extensive grueling training in song, dance, acting and modeling. When the company has enough trainees who they think are ready to debut then they form a group. The training process can be anywhere from one year to ten years. Jihyo, the leader of Twice trained for ten years before Twice was formed.

When I tell people about Dreamcatcher I say they are a wholesome comedy group that puts out some music now and then. They are getting more popular in Korea every year; they stopped having to busk for publicity a couple years ago and now won two music shows with their last title track (after being nominated over a dozen times and coming in second around 7 times). They audition for companies who bring them on as trainees under contracts and if they show enough potential debut them (the company is their label and agent). First Law of Dreamcatcher - It's all of them. You may think you picked a bias but they will all take turns wrecking you making you reconsider bias. Enjoy the ride.

right now they are on their American tour, but recently they were performing at Primavera Sound in Barcelona the only kpop group there, it was not easy their flight was canceled due to bad weather, but the organizers of PS sent them a private jet so they could perform, a complete success they sang live for an hour... you can see it on the Primavera Sound YT channel... OH MY GOODNESS YES YES!! I am so glad that you checked out a Guide to them though I will say there are more guides that are equally as good or maybe even better, this one did not do Handong that great there is so much more to her than what people think! It also didn't show any Gaycatcher moments which they are pretty famous for (especially SuaYeon and JiYoo moments), also the first video of SuA dancing was actually a Blackpink song called Pretty Savage you should definitely check it out! And the one that you keep calling pretty is JiU the leader, yes the one you called cute in Maison was Gahyeon, and actually in Chase Me the Rapper was Dami both songs only had Dami rapping I'm pretty sure well in Chase Me it could've been SuA as well but Gahyeon didn't become a Rapper until Piri I think! Also I just got to say Siyeon has to be one of my favorite Vocalists in K - Pop and Yoohyeon could be a Main Vocalist in any other Group! good reaction! if you want to know more about their personality I'd suggest you to watch the "This is..." series by Insomnicsy. It's a serie of 7 minutes guides about each member and it has 2020 and 2021 edition (I think it's better if you watch the 2021 edition cause it's more recent)

Yoohyeon is the multi-lingual gamer. Jiu is the eldest and the group leader/ mom with the dad jokes. She actually was voted as the best-looking Female Idol in all of K-Pop (she fits the Korean Beauty Standard the most) by two different sources at the same time last year.
