Yes to all the above recommendations, I’d also add Helevator and District 9 to see their beginnings and then some of my favourites: Thunderous, The Sound, Miroh, Easy, Venom, Scars, Levanter, Neverending Story (live). For some of their more experimental, but equally fire songs: Tortoise and the Hare and Side effects.

I never enjoyed kpop songs before Stray Kids tbh, they’re unique and different and they have every genre in their discography, also the fact that they’re the ones writing and producing their own music is just another flex, I would recommend you to watch S-Class making film to know how they filmed the mv! Stray Kids works SO HARD it's insane. Their discography is HUGE. They also write/produce their own music which is not common. Korean idols (sings/bands) take their music seriously. Most stay in dorms and they live, eat, breathe their music/dance.
You will not be disappointed in ANY Stray Kids Song.....As far as their BEST song, God's Menu has the most views on YT but IMO one song can't compare to another. STRAY KIDS are🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for checking them out🙏 S-CLASS has a lots of callbacks to their other music so once you get into that you can really appreciate all the references. Stray Kids are incredible and are known to have their own genre of music because of how dynamic and unique their range of sound is. Their discography ranges from rock to pop to hip hop to beautiful ballads and more, all while putting their own twist to the each genres sound. They also write, compose, and produce 99.8% of their music. They all sing, dance, and rap, and almost all of them play at least one instrument. They are iconic for the duality of their personalities. They can go from being intense, macho, and slick to playful, hilarious, and chaotic. Definitely give off family vibes -so wholesome! ☺️ Anyway, other songs to check out from them are GODS MENU, BACK DOOR, VENOM, FREEZE, THOUNDEROUS, and ITEM. I would also strongly recommend breaking down the lyrics because it not only gives context to the music video, but also because Stray Kids are phenomenal lyricists! Their songs always have layers of meaning that talk about deep, relatable topics such as mental health, finding ones self, self acceptance, overcoming life’s challenges, forging your own path, and not going along with social norms just because it’s what’s everyone is doing. They also have such a unique play on words I personally haven’t seen anywhere else. You can enjoy their music as a casual listener because let’s admit it, the music alone is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 But there is so much depth to their music that some people miss. They have been doing this since they were 16 to 20. 6 years later they are still just 22 to nearly 26 and over 170 songs strong (released) but we all know they have many more than that. BANG CHAN (CHRIS) Australian, leader and genius will be 26 in October. He has over 150 songs registered with KOMCHA, and is ranked 1st for 4th gen and 9th overall. He left Australia and his family when he was just 13 to pursue his dream, that is half a lifetime ago for him. LEE KNOW born in Korea was born to dance. Has been dancing since very young. Was in a dance crew for 6 years, competed at the World of Dance in 2016, back up dancer for BTS. Completed the basic dance course at JYP in a record 2 weeks. National Geographic super star. 😅 He is just 25 in October. CHANGBIN, a rapping giant. Korean. Was the fastest 4th gen rapper until recently at 9.75 syllables per second with his collab Mirror Mirror with Millie and F HERO. Singing voice of an angel. His vocal coach suggested he try out rapping due to his vocal tone and a genius was created. Flow switches, cadences.... unbelievable. He has over 135 songs registered with KOMCHA, which puts him right behind Channie. He just turned 24 in August. HAN. Born in Korea but grew up in Malaysia. He is the ACE of K-pop. He doesn't just RAP, SING, DANCE WRITE and PRODUCE, he excels at it all. Very funny, empathetic and a genius. He is not far behind Binnie at 9.13 syllables per second but man, what he can do is simply amazing. He also has just over 130 songs with KOMCHA making him 3rd behind the other 2. He just turned 23. CHAN, CHANGBIN and HAN are the producing team. They are known as 3RACHA. They have songs in their own right as 3RACHA away from Stray Kids. They were the foundation of the group. HYUNJIN born in Korea. He was street casted by a scout whilst shopping with his mother just for the way he looked. He had no skills at the time. He has grown into a monster performer. I love his style of RAP. His singing is developing beautifully and he is the 1st prince of K-pop for visuals and dance. He moves like water, fluidly. He is also a LLAMA, drama llama, but we love him for it 😅 He just turned 23 in March. FELIX, Australian, always loved to dance. Moved to Korea by himself when he was 17 without knowing Korean. He is the deep voice and our Sunshine. He is regularly found rapping on the tracks but lately has more singing parts. His range goes from low to high and is known for beat boxing and being the most non-annoying mosquito. 😅 He turns 23 the day after HAN. We call them our sunshine twins. SEUNGMIN, Korean. Has the most unique vocal tone. Very serious/diligent artist, always strives for improvement and just when you think he's the best he can be he surprises us again. Has several OSTs for K DRAMAS and is my favourite singer in the group. He also turns 23 this month. I.N. (YANG JEONG-IN) Korean. The MAKNAE (Youngest) of the group. Funnily enough probably the most mature, lol. He also has a unique vocal tone, very expressive with stage presence, can eat a whole ass pizza slice in one bite, 😅 Loves TROT music and is simply adorable. He turned 22 in February. All the members can sing, dance, RAP and write songs. Along with 3RACHA some members are also learning production skills. That is my intro to my boys. For further details I suggest you watch TEANOSUGAR 2023. It's long but STAYS will sit through it with you. We LOVE watching a new STAY being born and we are very proud of our boys. ❤
There's a behind the scenes video on how they did the shoot. It took them five days to film it. It's really hard to give a favorite song, but I would say start where they made their first splash landing, God's Menu. A lot of times their B Side songs are better than the title tracks. Stray Kids are a 8 member, 4th gen group n they make their own music. there are 3 subunits. 3racha - producing team, danceracha - the dancers, vocalracha - the vocalist. they DONT have any specific roles (dancer, vocal n rap etc) because all of them can do them all. 3racha produces their music, like all of their discography is made by 3racha. the leader (bangchan) also handpicked the members, handwritten their logo, almost training them and still produces their music. -- i would recommend watching TOPLINE, VENOM, GODS MENU, or CHEESE (if u want to learn more about stray kids. i recommend watching a 2023 guide or 2022 . )
Thank you for your reaction! Stray Kids is heavily hip-hop and EDM inspired - but they branch into all genres (of course whilst adding their own unique twist to each). I definitely recommend seeking out more of their songs if you liked this! God's Menu is their biggest song and the one that really put them on the map. Other popular title tracks include Maniac, Thunderous, Case 143, Back Door, Miroh. Their titles all have a similar undertone of that "noisy" music us fans love them for. Their B-sides (which, tbh, are the quality of A-sides anyway) are where you begin to see more of that genre variation I mentioned.

If you’re interested, TeaNoSuga has a long and updated 2023 guide. It’s over an hour long, but if you react and upload it, we will watch it. Stray kids is a mind blowing group who is 5/6 years newer than BTS and who have carved their own particular kpop style called malataste (after malatang which is a spicy soup) for their spicy, unique sound. I think God’s Menu, Case 143 and Maniac are next steps in your journey! They have a discography of over 160 songs, each one unique and made by them.
For me Maniac is probably their best title track. Also Gods Menu and Back door are up there. And Miroh. Those would be my recommendations for the start.

One thing you need to understand about K-pop. It stands for Korean + Popular. It's not one thing. It's a vast array of genres put together in various ways. Every group will have different ways of blending those. Almost every song will have vocals & rap in different parts. All of them will have dancing. BTS is from the third generation of K-pop. Stray Kids are in the fourth gen. And each generation of groups have different overall sounds, due to what is more popular at the time of them singing/making the music. Styles and techniques will differ, and groups will evolve with the times. Some groups will find a style & sound that works well for them, and then never change it more than small tweaks. Others will be completely different from when they first started, and continue experimenting. And before this happens, don't compare groups. Comparing groups is always a tricky thing. Fandoms can get up in arms over the slightest things. So....Best not use one group to compare to another. Even if you are saying nice things. Put it simply? It's like someone taking you & one of your cousins (or friend) and relating every thing you do to the other person. "Oh. You do such & such? Just like "other person"." "Oh. So & So did such & such so much better than you did." "I like how you did such & such, just like So & So did." That kind of stuff breeds resentment & also invalidates any accomplishments that each have done. So, yeah. Comparing groups isn't great. It just kinda sets Fandoms off & creates fan wars. Now. One thing I will tell you about Stray Kids, is that they are self-produced. They write their own lyrics, and make the music as well. So the music you hear, will be something they have created themselves. For a long time K-pop was driven by an industry that makes the group, makes the music, decides the concept for the group, and ultimately the actual singers have little to no say in what they do until they get very well established. This is slowly changing. Stray Kids were an oddity in that the company actually had little to do with their making, sound, or concept. The leader of Stray Kids chose his members, and they then went through a survival show to prove that they could debut as one team. Two members almost got permanently eliminated, but the head of JYPE decided that they worked better as a full group. They had more enthusiasm & chemistry as the original group, than with the two removed. (One member did leave after over a year & a half, and the group is now a 8 member group instead of the 9 that they debut with.) During the show, he had made it clear that the group was responsible for making the tracks for their songs, and the lyrics. That has never changed. So Stray Kids have the luxury of only making songs that they would love other people to hear. They decided that the music they made would be something that other people can relate to. If you read the lyrics, almost every song has deeper meanings & uplifting messages. Even the tracks they made to slap back at people who hate on them are not really rude or derogatory. (Such songs like Cheese, Domino, and Easy are such a bop) If you would like to listen to more of Stray Kids, I will list a few songs that vary in both sound ans style. From title tracks to b-side songs. Youtiful (It's entirely in English, and the video for it is an animated lyric video) Blueprint Secret Secret Miroh Mirror Time Out (This was written for their fandom, STAY) Easy Cheese Domino (Do their dance practice. There isn't a full video for the song. There's just an unveil track & that isn't the full song.) Hall Of Fame (Do a color-coded lyric video, this is a b-side with no video) Super Bowl (It's in English, but there's no video for that version. There is a video for the Japanese version, but that doesn't have subtitles.) Maniac Chronosaurus Voices Thunderous Venom Freeze Scars (Do the First Take version. The MV is pretty, but there are no subtitles, and in the First Take version there are. And it's live vocals. Also, it's in Japanese.) Lonely St. I think that's enough of Stray Kids for now. I didn't even list any songs that the group divided up into units for. They do have solo songs, and small unit songs of 2-4 members. I also didn't list any collaborations that they have done. Now. I will also challenge you to listen to a few groups that I love. (Besides Stray Kids. They are my favorite Boy Group.) I'm going to put a group, a tiny bit about them, and a song that I love. I'm going to list two girl groups, a Co-Ed group, and another boy group. Dreamcatcher. (My fave Girl group. 7 members. One of the members, Handong, is from China & got stuck there due to the pandemic for almost a year. The song I'm going to recommend was made when she was stuck there. They have a bit of metal/rock infused in their sounds.) I'll start you with the first of the Dystopia Trilogy. (Songs in order are Scream, BOCA, Odd Eye) It's about bullying & online hate. The song is "Scream". Ateez. (My second fave boy group. 8 members. Also mostly self produced.) I'll start you off with my fave song, even if it's not completely typical of them. It is & isn't. The song is "Halazia". KARD. (One of the only mixed groups in K-pop. 4 members, 2 guys & 2 girls. One of the guys is from California. Have a bit of Latin flair to a lot of their songs. Definitely on the more mature end of K-pop.) I'm actually gonna throw you in the deep end with their song about the toxicity in k-pop fandoms towards the Idols who the fandom "loves". The song is "Gunshot". Mamamoo. (4 member girl group. They are BAD ASS Bitches & set their own standards. Vocals for days.) I'm gonna give you their song that is actually kinda classic. The song is "Decalomanie". Have fun with your foray into K-pop.
Great info for non and babyStay as usual. Nice touch with the caution about comparing groups and you were able to bring in the Stray Kids origin story in a positive manner that doesn't throw shade where it shouldn't be and shows what kind of artists they are since they have huge hand in their music creations. Your song choices are a good mix of styles that I am sure folks would be able to get a good idea of what their colours are. I am going to check your selection of new groups to check out. Sure many have already hyped them up so just want to say as a fan from their beginning it is awesome to watch so many people over the years get into them. Proud seems like too easy a word to describe how I feel about their popularity when I had watched them come from nothing at their lowest point. 2:24 that scene contains a bunch of references to their other music videos! Its almost impossible to pin down their best song because theyve done over 40 genres and they fit each one beautifully. Their range is crazy they made a psychedelic trance song, Side Effects, in 2019 and it was literally a dead genre but they brought it back. They've even created their own genre dubbed the Mala Taste genre.They write, produce, and compose all of their own music which is already super rare in kpop but the leader Bang Chan handpicked all of the members from trainees which has literally never happened before. Their logo is even hand drawn by him and they decided the name. Theyre really in it for the music too. When they put this song out they said it would probably be divisive song amongst the fandom but they know there will be those that like it because they like it. Instead this album became the highest selling in Korean /history. And you can really feel it in their music. Theres so many little details in everything they make. And theyre extremely humble sweethearts and known as being very kind not just by fans but by other idols and staff members. They also have funny and cute personalities that idols and staff members have confirmed to be the same off camera as on. Have fun on your journey into Stayville! Stray Kids are no joke. Best kpop group, imo. They write and produce every song themselves and every song and MV has some amazing concept. They are the only kpop I listen to. I discovered them back in 2020 and I was familiar with some of BTS music but Stray Kids grabbed me by the throat and kept me down this rabbit hole and I haven't looked back! I can confidently listen to their entire album without skipping any songs. They really spoil us "Stays" (fandom name) all year round with a variety of different content throughout the year compared to most K-pop groups. Stray Kids have a lot of bangers in their discography so I can't choose but they have a wide range of genres in their discography! I would highly recommend listening to God's Menu, Venom, Freeze, and Maniac. I highly recommend reacting to a guide as well and I know a lot of us will watch your reaction to that as well. Hard to pick a favorite song. You might like God’s Menu, Maniac, Venom, Top Line. They even have Christmas Songs, like Christmas Evel. They actually put out a lot more music videos than most bands. Not just one or two per album, but like 4 or 5 per album and some songs not attached to albums but just for funsies. I have a theory that making music is what Stray Kids do for fun in their free time.

Oh man, how can you choose a "best song"? They have so many, and they are all so different, it is really a matter of taste. I have different favorites depending on my mood. For great videos with lots of cool transitions and a harder feel, try God's Menu, Thunderous, Venom, Freeze, and Maniac. For a "hard sexy" feel, try the unit song (with only 2 members) Red Lights. For a more pop, fun song, try Case 143, Which is their first "love song"--I htink it's hilarious that they put references to the horror movie The Shining into a video about falling in love. Back Door is also a great song with a great video. Their debut song, District 9 is pretty good and so is their pre-debut song, Hellvator, it was recorded for their survival show before they were officially a group. I'm also very fond of Easy.

Stray Kids are the best rabbit hole I ever fell down. The have large discography. S-Class is one of their more recent songs. They have soooo much. Their videos feed my ADD. Super talented, hard-working, self-producing group. Fan is called Stay .... because once you hear them you want to stay under their spell.😊 Their music is 🔥. Stray Kids are amazing producers, singers, rappers, and dancers, and have some of the best MVs in the industry. The members are very talented, creative, and have great personalities. They have over 160 songs to their credit. All the songs are great in their own merit, so it’s difficult to pick “the best one”. In the past few years, they have perfect their own unique style that can only be described as “Stray Kids”. I recommend Venom, Maniac, Topline, and from their most recent Japanese album (they release songs in Korean, Japanese and a few in English), I recommend Social Path. Also, Super Bowl (this one was released in English, but the MV is for their Japanese version of the song). After those, God’s Menu (it’s a must), Freeze, Case 143, and more. There is really too much to list. I hope you will decide to learn more about this group, I think you’ll like them.

Welcome to Stray Kids! A self producing kpop group consisting of 8 members though they originally had 9. One member left for personal reasons oct 2019 so videos prior to then will have him. God's Menu in 2020 is where they really honed in on their style though there are many songs prior to that as well that are some of my favorites. They love to play with sounds and genres of music so from one song to the next it can sound like a completely different group. They are known for fast hard hitting raps (though they have beautiful ballads as well) and they focus on lyrics about real life struggles we all have. Their lyrics tend to be deep and meaningful. And example of this is the song Secret Secret by Han about his struggles with anxiety. The group then responded with the song Silent Cry about watching him struggle and supporting him. They are a very close brotherhood, in part because leader Bang Chan handpicked all the members. They were not just put together by the company. They are all extremely talented hard working men. Like they never stop working. Ever. thanks for reaction! Stray Kids have just performed at VMA with this song and they won the best kpop group category at the VMA (it was fan a voted category). All their songs are amazing, I recommend them all. as a starter pack I would name God's menu, Back door, Thunderous, Maniac. As others have mentioned, 3 members of Stray Kids write 99% of the songs and are the main producers of the group. regarding kpop in general, it is expected for the MVs to be very high budget, however Stray Kids MVs are known for crazy transitions. At the moment Stray Kids is one of the most successful kpop groups, so they can afford especially expensive MVs in the last several years.
This song really did go crazy! I recommend Easy, Thunderous, Maniac, Topline... honestly, so much of their stuff is great. And if you love their choreo, check out their dance practices for Domino and Easy too!

Straykids are incredible! They write and produce 95% of their music themselves. They've created their own genre called Mala taste. They're breaking records and winning awards constantly. They're not only insanely talented, but the sweetest, most humble guys on the planet. They're my faves forever and always. Be prepared to get addicted if you dive into their music and content lol. So Stray Kids is awesome!! They got me into kpop. As fans, Stray Kids has spoiled us. We are known as STAYs. Chan, the leader, mentions us by name in the song. This is Stray Kids they can hit hard or soft. They are multi faceted. They write & produce their own songs. 3Racha is that team, Chan, Changbin & Han. Changbin, Han rap. They have dance-racha (Lee Know, Hyunjin & Felix). Their vocal-racha is Seungmin, I.N and Chan.Actually they are pretty well rounded. Han is known as the all-rounder. There are 2 Aussies in the group, Chan & Felix (deep voice). Gosh there's a lot to them really. Each one has their strengths which makes them an awesome team. I'm going to give you their names in age order (in Korean culture this is important): Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin & IN. Enjoy the rabbit hole that is Stray Kids!!
