I'm not sure if it's the best hits year, but I kept shouting Nomar 2000. The guy was flirting with .400 at the All-Star Break. Especially with all of the World Series Red Sox they kept throwing out.

Worst argument for an MVP is just because... 2006 real MVP... HoF snub, 2 time CY winner, should have been three times in a row... Johan Santana. Santana's run was so freaking dominant, should have had one more CY and an MVP, yet he can even get a second year on the HoF ballot? Come on!
