The real issue of this story is HOW the Taliban knew he was there. The official claim is that a foreign reporter gave away his location. There is an alternate story that alleges Harry had a "spot of trouble" involving a local girl and the local police got involved--thus word getting out about his presence on the base. This may be a totally fabricated story. If so, it needs to be debunked to clear Harry's name. It is no better spreading a false story about Harry than spreading a false story about William. Someone said there was an article about this attack and that Harry slept through it in The Independent. I have not read this but wonder if this story is true or made up. If true, everyone looks bad--Harry or partying and showing his location, the military brass for covering this up, and the RF for building Harry up as a war hero. I don't blame Harry for him being kept in a bunker. If he had been captured, can you imagine the prize he would have been for the enemy? The military really could not put him on the front lines. If he did his tours successfully, that is fine. However, if anything he did resulted in the death of two Marines, that is a different matter. We need to know the truth to put this story to bed.

Harry in 10 years in the Army, 2012served 10 wks as air traffic controller at the end of '07, and 20 wks as a gunner in a chopper in 2012 (he couldn't fly the Apache because he failed his pilot's licence 3 times.) Plus he came home without a scratch on him (he was in a bunker most of the time) Of course he doesn't deserve the Pat Tillman award, no matter how wonderful he thinks he is.
