She is an academic-activist and founder of Reright Foundation. Her journey to reclaim women’s reproductive rights gained momentum with a petition asking for transparency of hospitals by publicly declaring Cesarean numbers.
Subarna’s mission is to ensure women’s experiences and voices that remain at the centre of healthcare systems and policies that impact women’s lives. The Ministry of Women and Child Development has felicitated her as an ‘Agent of Change’ and she was part of ‘Goalkeepers 2017’, an event dedicated to achieving the SDGs at the United Nations General Assembly.
