Aldo is a top 5 fighter of all time and could be argued 3rd behind gsp and anderson. He's probably 4 behind gsp, anderson, and jon. The greatest generation of champions is when all 4 of these guys had belts.
Hes firmly most peoples' 5th. Theres alot of room for conversation between where GSP, Jon, Anderson and DJ all land, but almost everyone then has him at 5. But if Aldo had of fought Sterling for the belt instead of TJ, we'd all have to put him on Rushmore.
Whatever happens Aldo should not retire in Brazil where the Brazilians won't even stick around to watch it. They should be embarrassed of themselves. Americans value the man more than his own people.

Aldo has Ws over 4 top 15 fighters, he gets dibs on a #1 contender fight against Sandhagen, over Umar.
The brazilian fans kinda embarass me. How do you walk out when aldo or pantoja win the fight. Happened last year when glover lost. These are your heroes. Makes me think they dont deserve events in brazil. France doesnt have 1/10 of brazil mma talent but ufc paris events are always great and fill the stadium. If they want to maximize what he's going to do, they have to put him against Cejudo. Then if he beats Cejudo, he gets a someone like Yan. Win against Yan and he gets a title shot.
