This is not a ranking, analysis, or competition. I am just focusing on moments in this amazing dance that I think look nicest and sometimes explaining why. Please be kind.
Okay so...usually here is where I say who got how much time focused. I did count how much time I gave them all and I personally don’t believe this accurately portrays how well I thought each of them did here. On the individual moves, I agree with my own choices and stand by them and I’m not going to change it to reflect the times I think would reflect their overall performance because that makes no sense. Although I agree with each move...I think adding numbers to it will misrepresent how well the members did and create a misunderstanding around the point of this video.
Basically, I agree with my choices individually but disagree with the overall focus time it results in.
Anyways I’m going to say what I noticed for each member and, yes, they are in the order based on who got the most to least time. However, I will not say the numbers. You can count if you want but just know I think it’s inaccurate to how they actually were doing. Also your numbers may not match my order as I rounded and cut out moments where they weren’t doing much.
Kim Lip
Very nice and fluid movements and control. However, she seems to be underdancing a bit and is often late on little details or misses them all together (some extra steps, wrist flicks, knees turns, etc). She moves in and out of doing things perfectly and making these mistakes.
Heejin
Truly talented with her movement. She almost always puts the optimal angle on her arms, body and head tilts, footwork etc. She very rarely looks awkward. She is also good at putting dynamic energy into the dance, changing with the music accordingly. In this particular video, she appears to be the most into the dance as well.
Yves
A very good dancer, knowing just what to do for every move and utilizing every part of her body for it. Especially good with torso movements. There are a few times she could commit a bit more to a move or misses tiny details (notably small head tilts or nods actually) but these are minor things.
Hyunjin
Very clean but there are definitely some moves she seems more comfortable with than others. She goes in and out of completely rocking it and then looking a bit unsure at other moments.
Yeojin
Just like in So What, I am surprised with Yeojin’s talent. She has great musicality and good ideas for how to sell the choreo. Her head movements are impressive. However, she does have some messy moments, often not quite putting her legs in the right sport particularly or rushing.
Chuu
She has a good instinct for dance but doesn’t seem to have the technical skill to pull some of it off yet as the fluidity in the quick knee, shoulder, and head moves in the chorus is a bit lacking.
Choerry
Sometimes she is overdancing which makes her inaccurate on some details but not out of sync or anything so it’s still pretty good. Notably her head movements are very defined and cool. She actually does pretty well the whole dance, the time I focused on her doesn’t do justice.
Olivia Hye
I like her style of dancing, it mixes a masculine and feminine style nicely and she has good control of her upper body. However, she often doesn’t fully do the moves. She either isn’t really extending or finishing it completely which is why she didn’t get focused on as much. I think it’s a cool style choice though.
Gowon
Quite good throughout the dance. She actually doesn’t have any consistent mistakes that I noticed. As noted in So What, her style is very clean most of the time which doesn’t quite work with the more gritty or even bouncy moves as she’s lacking the variation in many of her sequences based on the music that others are doing. Still, I think she does much better throughout the dance than her time gives her credit for.
Jinsoul
She brings a good energy to the dance in a way that would attract attention on stage with her charisma and the way she throws herself into the moves. I think it adds to her performance. However, when I really looked, she is not always in sync and sometimes nor able to do the moves a certain way but does create good alternatives.
Vivi
I really do love her and wish she got more but I didn’t want to be dishonest and give her moments that I didn’t think she did best. She does indeed struggle to fully execute many moves and tends to cut many details on them which makes her a bit off time. She is good at the knee movements and the chest pops. She is by no means doing badly at all, but she isn’t committing to the moves as much as other members whether than be in energy or in detail. It may just be how she’s feeling that day of course, this is only one performance of hundreds.
