Earth Wind and Fire was one of the greatest bands especially in the 70s... we used to drive around listening to earth wind and fire burning a Doobie. Than listening to the Doobie Brothers on the way back from our road trip. Both awsome 70s bands..

My husband and I used to drive around indulging.. that was back when things were less politically correct and the name "Doobie" brothers had a whole different meaning, oh how I long for those days.. so simple, way before we had ever heard the word " virus" ! Sonny Bono composed music and was instrumental for Cher getting her voice recognition. He didn’t just sing alongside Cher, (husband) on the tv show before becoming a Mayor, and Representative. He was a multitalented, individual.

I remember listening to him speak of how little they had when starting out, and the hit, I got you Babe.’ He made it all happen for them from composing, to arranging, to performing. The Searchers had a big hit with his song, “Needles and Pins,” co written by Jackie DeShannon, and Jack Nitzsche. I definitely, hear Sonny’s influence. I remember Amazon using his song, “Little Man,” in their commercial of the miniature pony, and his owner. One of the enjoyable commercials out there, today. We won’t know what was to be, if he had not encountered that mishap on the ski slope. Thanks for the joy of your music in our youth, Sonny. ✨🕊✨

I remember Ian of Ian and Sylvia. Loved their music. Remember Diane McBain from all her Warner Brothers shows and some of her movies. I loved patti page's music and my older brother had a crush on her and even met her in 1962. Wow, it's hard to believe that Sonny Bono's been gone that long. Remember when he died in a skiing accident. Also, remember when Roberto Clemente was killed in a plane crash in 1972. And Michael Naismith of the Monkees too. My condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones. I too lost my mother on January 7th, 2004 and I miss her daily. She would have been going on 105 now. But she is always in my heart like my father is. One never forgets even when the years go by and no matter how old a person is.

Shocked to hear Stephan Bonnar died. I remember watching the fight between him and Griffin. Both were pounding each other into hamburger and neither was giving an inch. Myself - and everybody else - was getting on the phone with friends and saying: "Man you gotta turn on the TV and watch this fight - it's insane!" It was Rocky and Apollo Creed beating the snot out of each other. RIP dude. So sorry to hear this.

I have been a huge fan of the music and voices of Ian and Sylvia since I was a young singer who, along with my singing partner, performed many of their songs. His voice as a young man was gorgeous. They fail to mention that he was known later in life as a “cowboy poet,” writing and recording many songs about life on the prairie and on a working ranch he owned. He lived a good, long life. It’s a shame about Ronnie Hillman’s death at 31 and Nwaneri at 38; both much too young. The same can be said for the young Marley; I imagine an asthma attack must be a frightening way to die. May all of these people who shared their gifts with us Rest In Peace.

I know he was not famous enough to be listed, but to me and the rest of the family, he was. One of my uncles, my dad's brother, passed away Dec. 26 from heart failure. As the older brother, he looked after my dad when, for a time, they were both in an orphanage/foster care when they were children. Uncle Richard served in the US Army for a few years in the 50s. He was the one who encouraged me to be a carpenter when I was 6 or 7, by giving me my first real tool set for Christmas back in the late 80s.

I think he was my first as well. My wife and I watched so many of his videos back in 2011 I think. I remember the 50 cent one and so many others. It’s crazy because I just went looking for him a few weeks ago and saw he was having a surgery Dec 15. He was the first RU-vid star and he will go down in history for it. RIP Keenan you did your thing.
