Robert Clary spoke at my college in the late 80s about his experience during the Holocaust. I remember my eyes getting glassy. I doubt I will ever forget his reaction to a student asking if he did Hogan's Heros because it was nothing like what really happened. "I could kiss you!" That was his exact reason. Virginia Mc Laurin 113 yrs old, she lived more than one lifetime, so many don't live to see 20. A part of me cannot imagine living this long, in this life. The things she saw, the stories she could tell, I would of loved to hear them. My uncle will be 103 in March and is in good health, he is two yrs older than my father. My grandpa, his father was 106 yrs old when he died in 1977. All my grandparents where born in the 1800's. My father remembered his grandfather who was a slave. Separated from his brother at 14 yrs old. Last time he saw his brother was at the water, where they came and stole them. She got to see a biracial POTUS and a biracial VPOTUS. She saw a little change in her long life. I remembered when she went to the WH, that was cool. God keeps His promises, maybe she was an obedient child

Everytime Legacy comes out with a new video, it saddens me. All these beautiful artists who have meant so much to me are now gone, forever. I got to remember that the glass is half full and how truly blessed I am to have known of these people while they were alive. How lucky I am to have lived during this time in history and was able to know these people indirectly. Time waits for no one. To think there's a generation out there now who doesn't know who Dean Martin was, is mind boggling. Or understand the crazy, fun, wacky phenomenon that was once beatlemania. Even the moon landing, the greatest of man's achievements is overshadowed by today's phone. Lord help us.

That is so crazy that Anthony Johnson passed. I remember seeing him in such good shape not so long ago and now he is gone so young.

Hogan's Heroes is one of my favorite all-time shows, and now, Robert Clary is gone. I bought his autobiography which he signed, and Gallagher's no longer here on this planet. I'm eating watermelon in his honor! Long Live Robert Clary and Gallagher, gone but won't be forgotten!
