Damn, you beat me to it! haha I'm a big Marianas Trench fan and was looking to doing an a cappella cover of who do you love like this with lots of people. I might still do something of the kind. Great reference point with this video though. Great job! Love the arrangement and production.

Noor Arjmand I'm not an expert it just sounds to me the way he shapes his vowels or something that I cant point my finger on is too happy/bright for an emotional song like this. They undoubtedly did a great job though it's not an easy task to put together something like this

No it's definitely way too bright. im not a pro singer either or anything but i have been in choir from 6th grade to my senior year of high school and his vowels are def too bright for anyone. also he's very nasal. but i 100% agree, it takes a lot of work to put together an acapella piece like this. and they all did a fantastic job.

@@Darkgurl101 This could come across insensitive and I also don't know what you mean. I'm a trained classical singer and I think he's doing great. Then I again, I know little about popular music; it's a completely different genre.

Sorry for the late reply...it’s about his placement. This octave and range is super impressive for a guy, if you listen you can hear he’s kind of stretching to get to the high notes in the prechorus. To get those notes, he’s using a technique where he puts the sound right in his nose/soft palate. That, along with the natural brightness of the genre and his natural voice, gives it that lighter, higher tone. I personally like it for the song, knowing the context of it, but I could see how it gets annoying after a while
