As a nurse in Germany I think it depends with the state where you live. I only work for 10 nightshifts, 12 hours shift 30hours per week. Gross salary = 3414 with tax class 4 , 4 is for married couples making almost the same amount ) tax class 1 for singles, 2 is for single parents . After additional I get 4522 then after Tax deductions my net income is 3470,12

Thank you for the video it was interesting watching. However, some of what your guest said was not true - Germany pays hourly rate . It might just be her individual experience. Germany wins Uk considering the 13th month salary payment and Germany is family friendly. The amount you get will depend on your individual circumstances- tax class , if she is using tax class 3 for married couple she would be getting more money than this . And the living cost is relatively affordable compared to Uk . You can be able to safe up to 1000 to 1500 euros from 3,000 euros salary.

Well the cost of living is way higher in the UK ...and payment in Germany isn´t just for 12 months per year but there is an extra 13th month payment per year basically at one month per year the payment is doubled (= called literally translated "vacation money") as well ... So taking that into account I´m pretty sure at the end "yearly" nurses in Germany earn more in net although they addidionally pay despite of tax + healthcare + pension also for nursing care insurance (for when you get old and sick or just sick despite the age and you then need nursing care ) + unemployment insureance (provides getting roughly 60% of your wage during being unemployed for at least a year (under certain circumstances a bit longer) after that time threshold the % gets lower but you still get money) which UK employees don´t..... and after additionally deducting the cost of living (= rent + energy costs + food) they have then monthly more in their actual pockets in order to spend for what ever

I’m a registered nurse in Germany all I can say is the nurses salary depend on a lot of things eg the State you live in, your tax class,qualification level,shifts you do,percentage you work,the company you work for etc.I have worked as a nurse contracted by a hospital for some years and got all my break time paid,overtime etc and now I’m a travel nurse (under an agent)in Germany and Switzerland and get amazing benefits ie hourly rate,overtime,child care,kilometres i travel to work& many more. A tip to nurses who want to enjoy the money in Germany is to do a Weiterbildung(advance), the more you climb the ladder the more money you make😉

Hi, I don’t agree that the cost of living especially with renting a 2 bedroom in London compared to Hyderburg ( not sure this is the correct spelling) is the same. London is the most expensive city in the U.K. I doubt hyderburg can be compared to London in terms of accommodation. It should be compared to the most expensive city in Germany. Then it’s comparable.
@msbeau5341
@msbeau5341 Год назад
You are right. I live in the most expensive city in Germany which is Munich. A room that you will share a toilet and kitchen with others goes for 600 euros and above. For a 1 bedroom apartment here you look from 1200 to 1500 euros. For a 2 bedroom flat expect from 1800 and above. Rent is very expensive here

@Iamdyzzy
@Iamdyzzy Год назад
After reading this, I can say Germany wins at all front, salary, cost of living. Mind you a person in Munich should be earning higher than those living in low-cost-of-living areas just as those living in London have the highest hourly rate in the Country and when you compare it to the lady it means it’s only a £100 difference. It will also be fair to compare someone from Wolverhampton's salary to the lady and probably she will have a much better income.
@magmalin
@magmalin 4 месяца назад
@@Iamdyzzy The cost of living in Germany is by far not as high as in the UK. Inspite of the inflation you can get foodstuff and other necessary household articles at very reasonable prices. And you certainly shouldn't try to get a job in Munich as housing is far to expensive. I've worked in Munich some time ago but commuted every day (20 minuted by train) as I could not afford a flat there.

I am a nurse here in U.K., London precise. And I do believe the nhs needs to do better. We got nothing as compensation for our heart work in Covid time. So far on all the nurses from different countries you have interviewed I noticed they all get so much different benefits on top of their pay. Not to mention the deductions which is considered good as for future and emergency they have something in place but here in U.K. what are we given? Nothing. Our payslips are dry only pension deduction, PAYE and NI. You may see student loan which is a pay back to them or occasional enhancement. There are no other benefits from the government to help us in emergency. And even with all the deductions from other country nurses, they are still paid better than U.K. nurse. I have noted your skill share recommended link. I am an RGN but truly I need to seek alternative income. Be bless and just to say you are doing a wonderful work here in empowering others. Germany pays monthly, I think her employer is the problem. She needs to do more research on it

Wow, interesting to know that Germany doesn't pay hourly. For a Western country, it's a surprise. Nigeria is like that too. If you work overtime, getting compensation for it depends on the people you're dealing with. But if you have fair bosses they'll ensure you're compensated.

i beg to differ your guest.I have worked as a Nurse in Wuppertal Germany for 6 years before relocating to Uk.Nurses are paid per hour.I will like you to invite this sister again and add me.Normal Nurses get between 19 and 20 pound an hour,except Agency,NFZ or Intensiv Station Fachkraft. Their social Benefits are better than UK ,but i would not trade UK for Deutschland. Niemals

@@ladjei19 Sis, she is a professional nurse she has a degree in nursing. She studied in South America. The lady with 6 years experience might have left Germany many years ago and things might have changed or it could differ from Bundesland to Bundesland.

i am a nurse in nursing home, earning 22.27 pounds hour! It is a shame nhs paying that!! but of course, it is because they will pay for sick...UK pays well hourly, in my country no, portugal. it is a fixed salary

Germany is far better because you don't need to pay 1000 Euro for a room. You can find 2 bedroom apartment for 500 Euro and the food is far more cheap. I think you can save more money in Germany than UK.

Hello nanelle I have a question please I don't know if you've heard but in Nigeria all schools of nursing are being changed to colleges of nursing science and thus students would now graduate with HND/ND certificates, I would like to know if the HND nurse is eligible for studying Master's in the UK
