This Children's Christmas song was commissioned by Innov8 Creative Academy for their Reindeer Feeder childrens toy. The Reindeer Feeder song tells the story of The Shrumann which are shrunken men who feed Santa's Reindeers on Christmas eve. When Santa arrives at your house, the Shrumann climb up the chimney and feed the Reindeer on the roof, while Santa is delivering the presents. I had great fun travelling back into my child mind with the aim of creating the magic and wonder of Christmas with this song. May this song bring happiness, joy and wellbeing to all the wee children it meets on its journey. Full Lyrics below:
Verse 1
Who feeds the Raindeer
When they need to eat
They live on big red carrots
And chew them with their teeth
They have to pull the sleigh
With Santa on the back
The toys for all the children
Santa keeps them in his sack Ho Ho Ho Ho
Who who who feeds the raindeer
Who cleans their hooves, who sweeps away their poo - woo-hooo
Who who who feeds the raindeer
We do, say the tiny little Shrumann
Middle Section
The Shrumann are small, One foot tall
They've big warm hearts, for Santa's call
They've long long beards and short tiny feet
You should see them marching up Shrumann street
On Christmas eve they sneak out
When everyone's asleep
From their Raindeer feeding shelter
On Shrumann castle street
They chop up the carrots
With their little Shrumann knives
Carry them up the chimney
When the Raindeer they arrive
Chorus 2
Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas
The Shrumann rub their itchy scratchy beards
Ho Ho Ho Merry christmas
The Shrumann need your help to feed the Raindeer
Come and help the Shrumann to feed the Raindeer
