If we did ever try a 3-5-2 I think Tim Weah is THE KEY which is unfortunate since he'll miss this camp. Dest and Weah as the wingbacks would cook. Antonee is a great LB but doesn't provide much going forward other than a lot of pace and some crosses. Put Dest on that LWB and Weah on as RWB like they both play for club. I do agree Pulisic and Balogun with Reyna underneath would cook.

A couple of thoughts: 1) I would consider only bringing 3 full backs. There's a big dropoff between the top three and everyone else, and, both Dest and Scally can play on the left in a pinch. If you want to try a back 3, Paredes can cover LWB. That would leave an open roster spot for a guy like Maloney, who also provides positional versatility and could either play as a CDM or as one of the CBs in a back 3. 2) Obviously, Balogun is our starting 9, but with our injuries, I wouldn't mind trying him on the right and Pepi up top. Balogun has played on the wing quite a bit in the past at the club level.

I like the idea of playing Dest on the wing. I honestly believe that is his position. He's more of a natural fit for the wing.

Against lower level competition I'd love to see Jedi play LCB in a 3 man backline and start KP at LWB. I also think in general we need to move towards the 3-4-1-2 as our primary formation. It fits our personel better and gives us more flexibility. We don't have the winger depth to rely on the 4-2-3-1.

Been wanting to see Dest at RW or RWB for a long time. Also, CCV over Richards. Didn't impress in the last camp and gets next to zero PL time.

I love your idea of Dest on the wing with Scally at the back! Dest would be more threatening and have better defensive capabilities than any other option.

If you're looking for more attack by pushing Dest up from fullback to the wing with a back 3, then why not go all in and swap Robinson who really provides nothing but pace to the left side with Paredes?

For this camp I’d consider dropping Lund and Zendejas and bringing Dejuan Jones and Pefok. Pefok can be a target striker off the bench, Dejuan can play RB and LB and have Dest on the wing

Bring the Pirate and play him on the wing instead of Zendejas!
